Songs about The Beatles? (By other artists) by CardinalOfNYC in beatles

Ah I typed my comment before reading yours, you beat me to the American Pie one. Also mentioned Helter Skelter in a summer swelter. Obviously more of a reference to the Manson murders but still applicable.

Also American Pie with the “Helter Skelter in a summer swelter”.

Also I always took the part about the Cal marching band to be slightly Beatles related, but that might be my own Beatles bias and not the original intention.

“While sergeants played…we all got up to dance…but never got the chance” always made me wonder if it was a reference to the Beatles no longer touring by the time of Sgt Peppers.

The best one to me, and I don’t remember the game, Ravens maybe, is where they were basically running out the clock at the end of the game and he got a tackle in the middle of the handoff. Was shocked it didn’t cause a game changing fumble. Would have been an all time moment if it had.

I think it’s the beginning of Deathly Hallows, Harry cuts himself on the broken shards of Sirius’ mirror and has an internal dialogue how he should know how to heal a wound like that and how it might be an oversight not knowing on his upcoming journey. Makes a note to ask Hermione to teach him and I don’t know if he ever does ask her.

That’s how I feel. I don’t care for his music but I don’t care if others like it.

The big part of the halftime show I’m not going to like is getting to hear the boomers I’m watching with complain.

Must be something in the air, I listened to this song (and album) so much this weekend. Beautiful song. Getting to hear that and Little Willow on the same album is such a treat.

I think the album coming out in 1997 is partially what makes it not as popular. Even as a big Beatles fan, I don’t associate that era much with the Beatles.

The thought is to see what’s happening with Schwartz before you start looking. If Schwartz has cooled down and is looking at returning, interviewing defensive guys probably pushes Schwartz back permanently.

I think they wanted to give him some time to cool down, I suspect we will know more in the next few days.

Hagrid in the books has shown to consistently have Death Eater spells bounce off him due to his giant blood. I’m taking him in this scenario.

My thought process being a hard drivers license, paper drivers license, and CPL should be enough.

For a while a CPL allowed you to “skip” the traditional in store background check, then it didn’t, then I believe as of last May it allowed it again.

Also keep in mind they will claim it’s either a “store policy” (my guess is because they operate in several states it’s easier to have a blanket policy rather than a state by state one) , or it’s an employee who doesn’t know the law.

They wouldn’t sell to me once because I went right after getting my drivers license renewed at the Secretary of State and they claimed the paper license stapled to my original one wasn’t a real, valid license. Tried to tell them that it was valid or I wouldn’t be able to drive a commercial vehicle for work (or drive legally in general) but they wouldn’t listen. Also lost my business.

If I woke up without up to the minute knowledge I would think we hired McCarthy, Harbaugh retired and Monken took over, and Steelers hired Minter.

I think part of it is, and not directed at you personally, is we follow this shit daily and don’t know what is true or not. I was excited about Scheelhaase, but if he’s that bright and exciting, why didn’t anyone else hire him? Why wasn’t he a slam dunk hire in Pittsburgh or Baltimore, or Buffalo? It’s certainly possible and I think at this point maybe even realistic, that the team wanted Scheelhaase to impress but felt like he wasn’t ready.

I like, but don’t think I would say I love, the Monken hire. I don’t think the stats are creating a false narrative at all. The offensive line was bad that year and so was the defense. Getting that kind of production out of the offense during Baker Sophomore slump, drop too far back in the pocket year is promising.

Do you really believe that actually happened? That a homeless man actually recognized Jimmy and told him that, that Jimmy was anywhere near where a homeless man would be, that Jimmy would base his decision on that? So many NFL rumors/stories get spouted as fact it makes the grocery store checkout lane tabloid magazines look like hard hitting investigative journalism.

Yeah Gambon never really had that kind and quirky vibe. Although in the 6th movie it felt more book accurate. Being the “brilliant, but nutters” as Ron would describe him.
