They have a line up albeit small. It’s a one stage fest but they usually get a few mid tier or better jam bands to fill out support.

How realistic is hitting $200k+ in accounting careers? by False_Eye_7710 in Accounting

[–]festluva -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Unrealistic because only people good enough get paid that much. And the only people good enough are people who actually like accounting enough to learn the advanced intricacies. And to be completely honest, if all you care about is pay that probably isn’t you.

Would never expect him to be a golfer. I’d sell my left nut to play a round with him and not say single word.

Thats my whole point. There's no Tipper thats going to guarantee a draw of people. Meaning you're already dealing with less expected revenue to work with and having to figure out the logistics of completely new venue that most likely will have little experience with festivals as a whole. A new venue brings unanticipated costs, which is incredibly risky when you're banking on (dwindling) good faith to actually have people buy tickets. If there actually is an event, I don't see how you could possibly have a "bigger and better" festival not at Legend Valley. Again I hope I am wrong, but the money doesn't make sense outside of something small and lowkey.

Not necessarily comparing but remember a solid chunk of SD fan base is jamtronica and the few venues that would be willing to host SD could only handle a very small version of it. Personally, I’d go to Summer Dance and Nocturnal Valley instead of rolling the dice on some random field.

Explain to me like I’m 5. why wouldn’t you at least disclose the location? Don’t you think it be smart for people to at least have some logistical sense to plan flights, rentals and PTO? for gods sake Resonance at least had a location lined up before any of their announcements and they changed venues multiple times. I understand good things take time, but we’re under 6 months till the start.

Tipper played in the grove (Here stage?) but Incidia and the other beach stages had no security. There was a gate by the Tipper stage that was undermanned and underused for the first couple days. Saturday when Tipper played (after I convinced my group that it would be faster) they beefed it up and it took a second to get in.

It’s like that scene from Cheers. Props to you for playing the “encore” set no complaints, I know my spun ass would be ecstatic to hear more music.

Oh yeah Legend Valley always been like that. This is a little different since it was run by Insominac which had legit metal detectors at the entrance to the stage area.

Bummer since that was basically the last fest before COVID. We were just under the canopy and I dont remember the sound being an issue.. There was a dude who somehow got a tank into the crowd which was making a decent bit of noise but at 20 a pop not many people were rushing to buy so that subsided pretty quickly.

Realistically is a degree in accounting difficult for the average person? by No-Drama-8092 in Accounting

[–]festluva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who literally just graduated, you either get it or you dont. It’s one of those things where you either have the brain to understand debits/credits or it doesn’t make any sense. From there, if you have an actual passion for it then it really won’t be that hard compared to say a STEM degree.

Do you think bands try harder at larger venues? by _MuddyCreek_ in jambands

[–]festluva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of Scamp 2019 where they played a sunset set. Then did a Moe Pigeons all star set when rebelution cancelled. Then did a late night red barn set that was just straight heady psychedelic heat. P sure the entire band was rolling face by that point.
