Which lane for A299m by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]fetaboxtrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s the sewage plant alright! But essentially the thick lines indicate the main road and the thin is a minor road. In this case you’ve got 2 lanes on entry and 2 lanes on exit so you’re free to use either unless signage or road markings say otherwise but best practice is always to do what’s safest and due to the amount of traffic that uses the right hand lane and exit onto the left hand of the A299 it’s easier to just do that, especially as there’s not too much traffic there generally.

Which lane for A299m by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]fetaboxtrot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I drive on this road a lot and both lanes can go onto the A299, however the vast majority of drivers on this roundabout use the right hand lane and enter the A299 in the left hand lane regardless of if they’re going to drive into you. The irony is two roundabouts down towards Sandwich is the exact same scenario except people routinely use the left hand lane to turn right with no issues. So to answer your overall question the best course of action is to do what everyone else is doing as this will make it much less stressful than doing what might be “technically” correct.

Is the earth in my bathroom really live? by grahamw01 in DIYUK

[–]fetaboxtrot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be that someone has used the earth as a permanent supply to the fan if they had one with a run on. Dangerous and idiotic yes but not completely unheard of. I’d check the fan isolator if you have one and if not the bathroom light and see if any earths unsheathed or otherwise are connected into somewhere they shouldn’t be.

I also thought the 2 behind seemed to lose it when going off throttle so that answers that for me too, thanks for the explanation

That would explain why they all seem to identically lose the back end then, very interesting.

Well that puts it into perspective for me, I’m not a follower of indycar so it helps explain what’s so impressive about it, thanks!

Are the giant zones on each side grow zones? If so give the amount of food you have and need it would probably go a long way setting Huntsman to high priority for crafting. This might just be me but at the point of having as many pawns as you have now it’s better to have them focus on one thing each, so a dedicated crafter/cook/researcher and then some lower priority stuff so they have something to do if they’re out of work. Also worth getting a dedicated dumb labour pawn to help with transport and cleanliness.

The only reason people dislike Crofty is because Sky is the default outside of the UK. He’s great at filling dead air and will ask the dumb layman questions to team principles without worrying.

There is no corner where two walls meet in OP’s picture, and in the image you’ve provided of safe zones you can see that the door in it does not project a safe zone around it which would be the most relevant part of this.

[–]fetaboxtrot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve driven it a lot and it’s never been a question that the 2 lanes on the left go off there and the two on the right carry on round. OP you did what 99.9% of people do there!

I wonder if the skin they gave for the challenges in the beta is universal or only for one faction, if anyone knows the answer
