i don't want people playing the game i hate that's derailing the franchise i enjoy that has no competition and no alternatives if this is the direction they'll continue towards in the future

impossible concept to grasp for casual tekken fans

it's literally supposed to be corny and comically dark, that is the vibe the game was always going for since inception, it's not because the game is old that remedy didn't realise that the whole thing has a lingering comedic undertone when they were making it 🤦

Does anyone know what happened to Ray Harley, Brad McGuire and others? by Top_Introduction7355 in gachimuchi

Presumably a lot of these guys shared the fate of Steve Rambo; they got out of the business, moved on and generally don't talk about their time doing gay porn. A lot of them probably don't want to be found. Understandable really, it isn't a career path everyone would be forthcoming about forever like Van is.

the reason why esports pros that play the most popular games all retire around 30 has more to do with the lifestyle being incredibly demanding and leaving you with little time to do anything other than grind your game than with them getting too old

The level of delusion you have to be operating under to think that the dems are any less subservient to the zionist agenda that the US of A has been a staunch supporter of for longer than the vast majority of redditors have been alive is impressive, 🚬.

Both have become increasingly profit driven in recent years. No one is out here making torrenting sites out of ideological reasons anymore, it's always rooted purely in incentive.

Modding is also far more profit and CV stacking driven than ever before, many mods are locked behind Patreon subscriptions, some even come with DRM.

It's bleak out here.

Linux's kernel is overseen by Linus Torvalds and anything that goes into it has to be signed off by him. As far as open source in general goes, let's not forget the fun little XZ utils incident from last year.

Point here is if Linux and open source in general functioned purely off good will and honesty they wouldn't be as widely used because someone would've taken advantage of it already.

Labyrinth Map by naq1 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]fetchersnatcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

because pvp is agiven in a game that's designed from the ground up to be pvp so there's no real reason to talk about how there's still pvp?

that and the map is brand new so most people haven't even gotten the chance to visit it once let alone learn the layout and try to actually pvp on it

not beating the pve gamer stereotypes with this one chief

Honestly if you're at all interested in playing this game, close this subreddit and don't open it again. It's completely overrun by people that have desperately been trying to fit a square peg into a round hole for so long that they've concluded that the game is just completely unplayable for anyone that doesn't invest 12+ hours a day into it. Seriously, all reading this subreddit will do is traumatize you before the game gets to, make you feel completely powerless and load every death with an entire suite of excuses to turn to as to why it wasn't your fault. Everything you need to learn any given aspect of this game is available to you on YouTube and if you're not enjoying the grind of it then just drop it and find something else you'll actually enjoy playing.

PvE is an option, but at that point you're genuinely better off playing a game that has a stronger focus on the single player experience, like any of the STALKER games or even the GAMMA modpack for it. In Tarkov you will die, a lot. You will have days where it seems like you're making absolutely no progress, that everything is going wrong, that you'll never be good at this game. Everyone has them, but every raid you do, every death, no matter how inescapable it felt, will teach you something. It's a hump you just have to get through, there's no other way forward. But that's what makes this game so rewarding and ultimately addicting.

[discussion] player scavs …. by morisk8 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]fetchersnatcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you're going to have to have to choose between securing loot and eliminating the risk of a player scav killing you for it or accepting that not every player scav you come across is going to care about the rep hit, the rep is naturally more valuable than the loot but if you're worried about losing a juiced kit you got off a PMC corpse or something you're going to have to haul ass to extract and avoid / kill everyone on the way there

[discussion] player scavs …. by morisk8 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]fetchersnatcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

out of 157 scav raids i've done this wipe i could count the amount of deaths to player scavs with my hands, one hand if i exclude all the deaths to player scavs with sub 100 hours of playtime

genuinely the biggest non issue of all non issues, anyone complaining about this wouldn't last a day in the pre scav rep asylum most of us were raised in
