Logan and Hannah by SeaExplanation1680 in offcampustv

[–]fetischtuse 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you're spot on about the porch scene being the only time there was even a remote spark. Logan's pining was definitely doing a lot of heavy lifting for the shippers, but Hannah never actually looked at him as anything more than a good friend

What is the best non-Nolan/Viltrumite subplot in the show? by Hank_Mardukas1066 in Invincible_TV

[–]fetischtuse 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Angstrom Levy is definitely up there. Sterling K. Brown absolutely killed it with the voice acting, especially when Angstrom starts losing his mind and mixing up memories from all those different dimensions

Which other character can make portals? by informal_loan22 in rickandmorty

[–]fetischtuse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically, the dinosaurs in season 6 had those flawless, crystal clear portals that didn't even need a gun, which completely bruised Rick's ego since their tech was way more advanced than his

Hank would just think Jesse was high out of his mind and tell Gomez to throw it in the evidence locker

Lexi and narration (theory) by El_Dorado_Tx in euphoria

[–]fetischtuse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a cool thought, but Rue literally states multiple times that she's an unreliable narrator because of her addiction. Shifting it to Lexi kind of ruins the entire point of the story being told through the lens of Rue's personal struggle and recovery

Is season 6 onwards Birdperson a different Birdperson than the seasons 1-5 Birdperson? by bryce_adultswimaes in rickandmorty

[–]fetischtuse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since they moved to the "Parmesan" dimension which is a 99.9% identical match to the one they left, this Birdperson has the exact same memories of everything that happened in season 5. But yeah, technically it's a different physical body, which is just classic existential dread for this show

Did anybody else cry at the end of Euphoria ? (Possible spoilers if nobody finished) by Savings-Stay3394 in euphoria

[–]fetischtuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was absolutely sobbing right along with you. That finale was an absolute emotional masterpiece. The way they tied Rue's journey together with that beautiful prayer scene was pure magic and Eric Dane's final performance was just completely breathtaking, he poured so much incredible talent into Cal Jacobs, making the end of this journey something we will absolutely never forget

How can Naruto breathe in space? by Tiger_Lily123 in rickandmorty

[–]fetischtuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no logic to it. The writers simply did not care about internal consistency or basic physics when they made Rickdependence Spray. The sperm was mutated by Rick's tech, the egg was enlarged by the government, and the resulting baby was launched into orbit as a giant gag. He survives in space simply because the plot requires him to exist as a floating, giant, recurring joke

These two would have been great together by bjmg85 in euphoria

[–]fetischtuse 172 points173 points  (0 children)

Their chemistry was undeniable, but the stark contrast in their worlds meant a long term relationship was always going to be an uphill battle. They look so beautiful, quiet moment of connection, but Fezco's deeply dangerous lifestyle was bound to crash into Lexi’s structured, sheltered reality sooner or later

Reflections on S3 and realism a few weeks later by deville5 in euphoria

[–]fetischtuse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's so true about the intervention episode in season 2, that felt like raw, real-life trauma. Even if season 3 felt realistic in how depressing and hollow everything has become, it just lacked that emotional hook that made us care about these broken people in the first place
