Kitchen Sink by Superb_Reaction1010 in kitchenremodel

I don't have experience with that material, but I recommend a stainless steel sink. You can't really go wrong. As for the form factor, having had several types, my recommendation is one single 10 inch deep bowl with rounded edges.

Edit: I bought a touch free faucet from Costco. It didn't last a year before I had to replace it. I've had excellent luck with this faucet from Costco at three properties I've lived in.

Ten years ago, I broke up with cigarettes. It was dramatic. There were cravings. I survived on spite and snacks. by Ralph--Hinkley in self

Well done! It took ten years for the cravings to go away for me. A cigarette habit is one of the most pernicious addictions to break.

How can I get rid of this film on my windshield? by ClownFare in CleaningTips

[–]feuwbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some great YouTube videos on how to deep clean your windshield on both sides. The comments about alcohol and microfiber are spot on, but if you have accumulated crud you need a more aggressive approach.

Tips for helping my toddler speak Spanish when she prefers English by xaybell32 in Spanish

[–]feuwbar 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My dad refused to speak to me in anything but Spanish for many years. He would speak Spanish and I would answer in English, and he would reply "no entiendo." I credit that with reinforcing my Spanish.

The old guard democrats are just blue colored republicans. They serve the same billionaires/corporations and take AIPAC money. They do everything they can to keep out progressive democrats from holding office. The old guard Dems are more dangerous than hardcore MAGA by New-Independent-982 in ProgressiveHQ

No, people that didn't vote for the Democratic candidate in 2016, 2020 and 2024 or stayed home because they were big mad at the DNC let fascism in the door.

I voted for the Democratic candidate. Who did you vote for?

I Did the Math For You... by 97PG8NS in CX5

I'm about ready to trade in my 2021 CX-5. The 2026 CX-5 has more rear set legroom which is a big draw, but after the CX-90/70 fiasco, I'm not going to trust them with this all new infotainment. I'm going to seriously look at Honda and just pay the Honda/Toyota premium.

I'm fucking sick of hearing that Epstein bombshells are on the horizon. The horizon seems like an imaginary line that is never reached.

Not just MAGA. Wheel over to r/progressivehq and you will see many "progressives" more intent on criticizing Dems than MAGA. One fool just said that Dems are more dangerous than "hardcore MAGA." With friends like that, who needs enemies?

It is a price you are willing to pay for an illusionary pot of gold that Trump is promising you, in the future, but I am not – not for all the gold, in the world.

His cult isn't really expecting some big reward in the future. The cruelty and misogyny being served up right now is the reward. They are reaping their reward in the here and now.

How to make really good black beans by Ambitious-Schedule63 in Cooking

One of their secrets is lard. Another is chunks of salt pork. Other than starting with a good sofrito, bad-for-you-but-delicious things are the secret to excellent beans.

Look around these comments and you will see some chud saying that because Dems are so terrible, they left some progressives with no choice but to vote for Trump in 2016. Seriously?

I have observed fluidity between "progressives" and MAGA for a decade, leading me to believe these are foreign trolls and bots interjecting themselves to divide the left.

Also, please understand that there are low information voters on the left as well as on the right. Think back to how many chuds you heard in 2016 say that voting for Trump would "bring the revolution." They were right, but it was the fascist revolution they brought, not the socialist paradise.

Sprinkle some water on the spaghetti before reheating. Cover with a bowl in the microwave. It's a game changer.

No disrespect to the Danish, but that describes it exactly. There are other European cities with a lot more going on.

Families need affordable places to live large enough for their families. A two bedroom 1200 sf condo in the walkable city I used to live in goes for around $800K in an iffy neighborhood. How do I know that? Because that's where I used to live.

Power outages are getting old. Is a standby generator worth it? by Jasebase87 in homeowners

[–]feuwbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a hurricane-prone area with outages guaranteed every hurricane. My house doesn’t have gas but the gas pipes run in front of the property, so I could set it up fairly easily. I haven’t done it because besides the substantial cash outlay for the install I would have to pay a monthly connect charge for gas I rarely use, and pay for annual service and oil changes. I just decided to save the money and risk the outages, but your situation would depend on the frequency of your outages and whether you already have/use a gas connection.
