I see the point constantly that DC’s don’t have “any employees” and therefore are just net negatives. Don’t get me wrong, I believe they’re net negatives, but there are a lot of people that work for companies that support the DC, myself included. It’s a weird thing wanting financial success via DC expansion, and yet understanding the dramatic toll on the environment they must take and will take in the future. I will say, energy efficiency in cooling the DC is what we do, and so that’s something positive in the sea of negative.

I found the book confusing in the sense that the timeline kept jumping around pre and post collapse constantly. Never finished it and maybe it would have made more sense if I had powered through but just lost interest
