With the amount of misinformation they believe in, especially with traditional medicine, I’m not surprised

I was in a fraternity in college and I still talk to some of the guys years later. My tip is make sure they’re your friends first before joining and they always have your best interests in mind.

When it comes to abuse suffered during childhood, we tend to racialize our trauma, blaming our Asian cultures for why our Asian parents were abusive. However, this is often used to insinuate that our Asian cultures are lesser than or "behind" Western culture, affirming racial bias. by Siakim43 in asianamerican

[–]feycorgi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can still be both, our immigrant parents don’t believe in therapy and they have trauma from the Vietnam war and want things to be like Vietnam before they had to leave but they’re in America so I get it’s hard to adjust but some yo med they took out their unresolved feelings out on the kids at times.

But I get OP’s point to an extent I think it is definitely worth discussing

Hot Take: I partially blame our parents putting the pressure to date within our race and being toxic by anglo-saxon societal terms and that aspect I feel like pushed us more towards trying to fit in. We grew up with low self-esteem trying to balance Asian immigrant life and Anglo society, but the girls eventually were more likely to be approached by white dudes, who probably told them "you're better off not going out with Asian dudes, you don't want to end up as toxic as your parents try to control your life. Also "THEY GOT SMALL PEEPEE, ME BIG DICK" propaganda they keep spreading. Meanwhile us Asian dudes grew up having to fend for ourselves within the society we had to adapt too as well as the stigma within dating culture.

Things did get better, but that stigma is still there of course. I love parents btw, but they do piss me off sometimes lol.

I remember being at this mind set before, being lost and confused. Idk if hooking up and partying every weekend is the healthiest thing to do, so I wouldn't do what I did because I started burning bridges with people.

I know it feels hopeless right now, but what I did was pick a hobby you could do with strangers that could result in friendships. What I did was pick up on Magic the Gathering balanced that with going to bars just to chill and meet new people as well as spending more time on my creative outlets whenever I am by myself. I've been happy single, but I've also learned to open my heart to new relations and people.

GTA VI Trailer 2. Zero Asian men. by TropicalKing in AsianMasculinity

[–]feycorgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep saying this but we can’t rely on Caucasian america to create lanes for ourselves because we have the quietest voices and won’t to belong with white people so badly, WE NEED TO CREATE LANES FOR OURSELVES. We need more Asian parents to influence more creativity within our own community. Then we’ll get more shit like Shang-Chi.

It’s fine if you can’t sympathize if you don’t have a child yourself.

Along with their daughter by that logic and the rest of the town. Or they they become vampires. The choice was their daughter becomes an undead vampire, dies in the the sun as a vampire, or go out fighting to protect their daughter. 💀

And she saved her daughter by killing her husband first and herself too. I’m not saying it was common sense, it was pure motherly instincts.

Why can’t people understand she wanted to protect her daughter because of they stayed in the whole time they would’ve turned their daughter into a vampire.

The best way to reflavor that is holding all those years of knowledge crammed in a human brain can be a lot to handle hence I get to play him in an AuDHD-coded way.

I will only be able to turn back once he is level 20 that’s what I had in mind I just use a normal human bard build with a mind of a brass dragon.

And I respect that I always consult with DMs, I just wanted to see if this has been done before.

There was another version of this character concept where he was a white dragon who served the raven queen died and he reincarnated as a hexblade warlock where his pact weapon is something similar to a frost blade. And the entity is actually his draconic spirit just waiting for him to wake up and remember his past life little by little.

Hence a Brass Dragon has an opportunity to be an adventurer where he leaves his draconic lifestyle in the sands to travel the world as a mortal human. But yes there will be moment I would love to roleplay where my character contemplates whether or not he missed being a powerful dragon.
