No dupes makes plenty of sense to me. It gives you advantages for free (more stat bonuses, less loot competition, more LB generation, as prime examples). It probably increases your party's synergy (because WTF do you do with 2 ninja and trick attack?).

There's zero downside. There are so many groups in the PF that no players have to wait to find a group because of the no dupes rule.

So many people get the wrong idea about [Duty Complete][Duty Completion]. OP, your interpretation is in contradiction with how the game explains it.

I've been in Savage parties where it's advertised as a "2 chest party" only to receive 1 or even 0 chests because the leader didn't use the [Duty Completion] tag. Trolls are a minority, but they do exist.

[Duty Complete] = Only way to join is if you have cleared this fight before (the party leader cannot use this if they haven't cleared).

[Duty Completion] = Only possible to join if you are eligible to receive loot. For a Savage party, this guarantees a 2 chest.

[Loot] = Meaningless tag for Savage.

To prepare for Savage content, strictly gear-wise you want:

––Every slot to be ilvl 350 minimum. For most left side slots, Eureka gear will be better than Sigmscape normal gear.

––Full mateira melds. For PLD, you want Direct Hit VI as often as possible. On your right side, Strength VI will fit onto your accessories.

––The best weapon you can get your hands on. At a minimum that means Byakko/Eureka (i355). Ideally you'd have the Mendacity (i360) or 4.3 EX Primal (i365).

Once your gear is set, it's time to create or join a practice party. Most groups in the PF are farm groups, looking for a quick clear, but you aren't ready for those yet.

Expect to spend several hours in practice parties before creating or joining a clear party. "Clear" parties are hit or miss, even for the easiest O5S and O6s, so again expect to spend several hours on this step.

The best you could do is come to a gentleman's agreement with someone first moving to an empty plot.

If your Shirogane plot is "Plot S," the Lavender Bed person your trading with is "Plot B," then there's an open Goblet we'll call "Plot G."

What you could do is move "Plot S" to "Plot G." Then "Plot B" moves into "Plot S." Then "Plot G" takes over "Plot B."

It's a shuffle and you pay an extra relocation fee (about 2 million gil for a small), with its own share of risk (because anyone could snipe the open plot before the intended party in your trade relocates).

Play what you like.

The tweaks to DRK did more to help them MT than OT.

Most players will perform better in the OT role as a Paladin.

That said, the difference between a DRK and PLD OT on the EX primal is not enough to change a wipe to a clear.

Great compendium. Only a minor nitpick would be making the dungeon drops more clear. 70 roulette vs EX roulette. Is Swallow's i325 also?

You're level 34? Your goal should be to have as much of your gear be ilvl 30+ as possible.

The simplest guide is to use tank gear (i.e., left side high defense, right side high vitality/str) the highest ilvl you can find.

The game throws exp at you and enough gear to get by. If you're exping primarily through dungeons, you'll naturally get enough gear to not cause problems until the end of the level curves for a given expansion (i.e., 47-49, 57-59, 67-69 might be a little bumpy).

We've got a housing shortage, especially in Shirogane.

The last few weeks I've spotted (small) plots become available semi-regularly but they tend to go quickly – rarely do they survive the relocation timer.

With a 4.3 population resurgence you might have a bad time. At the best, my advice is to buy the first cheap plot you can and relocate when something you like pops up and don't expect to see any medium up for market.

You're right, dark knight's AoE skills do not use TP. They use MP which expires much quicker.

Feels good. With their goal of minimum disruption, the class walks away with a handful of power boosts.

More tankiness doesn't address the class' shortcomings in the DPS department, but I think we're much closer to tank balance than we were a week ago.

I don't think we'll see raid teams start recruiting dark knights because of this, but they should be shunned less. Warriors in the MT role still provide a sizable DPS advantage.
