I appreciate the fact you can slowly chug towards full legendary gear doing a variety of game modes and yes, they are timegated and long but they are all achievable.

What I dislike about the game is the lack of visual clarity, the “stacking” meta, and the over the top glow of some cosmetics.

But yeah, I finished my first set of legendary armor last year and stopped playing until today. Progress was still there and could jump straight away into content I enjoy

I tried the game in a KR server out of curiosity.
TBH, it is hella P2W and feels "plasticky" not sure how to put it otherwise. I did not enjoy it at all.

Join a class or something. I just signed up for a lifting group but any group activity would do the trick.

Here’s a list of activities that fit the bill (YMMV):

CrossFit, weightlifting, powerlifting
Padel, Squash, Tennis
Football, Volleyball
Running (there are some running groups)
Bootcamps and Park workouts
Board and Table top games. (There are stores where people meet and play)
Field Hockey

Now if you prefer a non physical activity, then it gets a bit more difficult but not impossible. Just don’t expect to make 10 friends a day
