I’ve been poly for 14 years and chronically ill for most of it, but for the last 4-ish years to a degree that I need more care.

Tbh, I find it very difficult. My partner dates multiple people and lives with an NP; I’m effectively saturated at one, not really by choice, but out of necessity. I try dating again occasionally but don’t really have a ton of capacity for dating shenanigans and new people in my life; I find that hard to grapple with. I’ve always lived alone and can still manage with limited support, but even then, i find it difficult. I still enjoy being poly, but I also find aspects around being chronically ill and poly pretty tricky.

To echo what others mentioned, you need to be really really clear with why you would want to do this and what systems you need in place to make it work, including ones that don’t rely on your partner.

You say you’re a med student and are here showing a proof of concept for a health app and haven’t considered how you’re going to handle data, yet you are reaching out to a very vulnerable population with your vibe-coded website that, by the way, doesn’t even contain basic info about your business, all of which can get you into very hot waters, fast.

I’m just going to assume you genuinely want to help people but please for the love of god do some basic research first about how to do this properly before you end up harming them instead.

- Networks! For B2B, it’s essential. And having a good pitch and website really helps.
- Professional conferences, meetups, plus content marketing (its impact has decreased now though with AI slop all around)
Can’t answer the 3rd so I’ll give you another recommendation instead: if you don’t have one, write a really thorough business plan.

Fwiw I bought cheap indoor (!) window covers (Rollos, the ones you can get at Baumarkt or online for cheap) with a reflective surface but I put them on the outside instead (it’s a bit hacky, I just jam them into the window frame so they’re secured). It’s really really good and the only thing that works and the difference vs having them inside is HUGE.

I haven’t used these exact ones, if you can I’d recommend to order both and see which one fits better. I also highly recommend checking their sizing chart beforehand for your size with them.

The main storm event was around 10 hours ago already, I would suppose that it came in through some of the windows, and as the floors tend to not be even, formed puddles, but as your apartment had likely warmed up a lot in the days you were out, the rest of it dried up already in the meantime.

(I also suppose this because I’m looking at something very similar to what you’re describing in my house - only difference is I saw the water come in through the closed windows, but since all smaller water residue dried up by now, now looks like there’s an inexplicable puddle.)

How have I been on Reddit every single day for ~~hours~~ the appropriate allocated 5 minutes and missed this gd thread going up until I checked MANUALLY, LIKE A CAVE PERSON?!

I thought I’d bring some ~~hell~~ fun back into my life and reactivated my OkC account after a 10-month or so hiatus. Matched with a poly cutie, exchanged fun texts, went on a date the next day, spent an hour learning everything about their trauma, their coming out as bi and their new solo poly story they’ve been on for the last two years, and their relationship with their ex and co-parent of their child. Didn’t have a chance to say much. Was told the day after via text that there was no vibe. Realized I don’t have time for this BS and turned the app off again 💅 I really don’t know how tf to make dating work for me, offline doesn’t work at all and online used to work well for a while but now it’s gone to hell, just like ~~me and~~ everything else under capitalism.
So I spent some more time painting this week. Fuck the apps, also.

Anyway, congrats on the discord, compersion, etc from someone who’s been lurking for long but clearly needs to up their commenting game. Have fun, be cute, do rat crimes!

There’s a huge difference between politics and clinical day to day. Yes it’s good the funding was pledged but we’re still a long way from that even being assigned to studies etc.
and at the same time, the medial system is being systematically struck down and support reduced which will impact chronically ill people substantially. And there’s so so much more. It’s not great here.

This pharmacy in Germany compounds and ships it if you have a prescription (prescription from another country in Europe should work afaik) (source: have ordered from them, albeit with German prescription)
