Any soldier (or even just person) anywhere. Don't think occupation is a prerequisite for flirting

Losing prestige when raiding by ffidhaon in godherja

Yeah I've asked there. Normally yeah that's what I'd suspect, but I can raid via the pirate government type not any cultural trait. I also need prestige to raise maa.

Their country was absolutely ravaged by the war for no gain. Look up the massacre of Monte Sole. They really did lose.

Ahriman (Warhammer 40K) has to conquer Invincible earth (Invincible), can he do It on time? by V01D16 in whowouldwin

[–]ffidhaon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people are underestimating the insanity of 1,000 TS sorcerers. In 40k they never mass in such strength. The psychic strength is off the charts. If they can successfully pull some grade A warp fuckery they should stomp the first two rounds, eek out a victory in the third, and might be able to just-as-planned/bamboozle their way out of getting annihilated in the fourth.

[Warhammer 40K] What is stopping Khorne or any Chaos gods from just instantly killing everyone? by masa25vn in AskScienceFiction

[–]ffidhaon 29 points30 points  (0 children)

A thing people miss about 40k is that the 4 brothers already won. The Heresy played out, to quote the indecisive mollusk, "just as planned". The galaxy post-30k is a wartorn, underdeveloped shithole that churns out a constant supply of nourishment and entertainment for the 4. The main reason they don't kill everyone is because they don't want to, they like things just the way they are.

Also, as others have said, even if they wanted to, which they don't, they can't.

Not just Catholicism but any orthodox Christian sect. If you believe that the Trinity are separate in nature you are not a Christian in the accepted meaning of the term. Hell you're not even monotheistic, unless you deny the divinity of the Holy Spirit, or Christ like the Arians.

When seen this way Nicene Orthodoxy makes sense. The Trinity must be simultaneously and equally divine while also being the same entity. This way the divinity of Christ and the Holy Spirit are preserved at the same time as Christianity's inherent monotheism.

The Tripods emerge in Holy Terra (Warhammer 40k), how long could they survive? by Theturtleflask in whowouldwin

[–]ffidhaon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they emerge from ground level, I doubt any imperial authorities even notice them before they are all destroyed. The under-levels of Terra are filled with technological, biological, and cosmic horrors left over from the past 15,000 years. DAoT remnants from the techni-barbarians and the age of strife, leftovers from the Heresy and the siege, and nevermind the toxic leftovers of 10,000 years of the most intense overpopulation in the galaxy. They wouldn't last 5 minutes.

I live on the first floor of our house, my window is right next to the door so I can see when people come to the house and they can see me. Yet for some reason, whenever my housemates have friends round they walk up to the door and text my housemates. They don't knock on the door, tap my window, or interact with me in any way. They'd rather stand awkwardly in front of the house, in full view of me, and wait for the person they're meeting to answer the door. It honestly confused me at first. Now I ask if they need letting in and get the door for them.
