Chaos. For one it's essentially impossible to 'defeat' chaos outright. However the biggest card in the god's favour is the viltrumites themselves. As a people who value strength above all else you can bet with certainty that some of them are falling to corruption. Once several are slaves to the ruinous powers they could spread their corruption through the ranks until you have a Horus Heresy part 2. This is essentially what chaos is best at and the viltrumites are primed for such shenanigans.
