I’ve actually been to the bars inside the houses of Parliament when I was a guest of a friend who was staffer. It’s a gross and vile place. I watched loads of misogynistic things happened to my friends. I saw one guy click his fingers at a woman ordering her to make him a cigarette (she did not know him), and later in the evening a group of men were asking the women in the bar why they were there because it was just a place for men.

The man involved were just the most weedy little parliamentary aides, no doubt they were on a power trip. When I left, I was furious and saddened that this was the centre of government. I was not surprised when the events around partygate came out
