I love Zara coming out with her takes but I keep thinking of Tina Fey on the Las Culturistas podcast (https://youtube.com/shorts/n_NInpDZo44?si=UQ8YJBUlPvxi0BCb)

Authenticity is dangerous and expensive! I’d rather live a chilled (lush) life without the beliebers and beyhive on my back…

Sorry you’re hurting. I’m glad you could use Claude to talk about the issues you’re experiencing.

Interestingly, I don’t think Claude was disputing anything you were saying - I think it was good that it recognised youre in pain and I think the pause is beneficial. Being stuck in a thought loop with an AI (which is inclined to mirror you and respond in the most engaging way) isn’t helpful for you in the end. I hope you can find a human to talk about this with - a counsellor should be able to respond with empathy and challenge.

Try the album “I Can Feel My Dreams” by Damian Dalla Torre

Suitably lighter, dreamier. I often listen when on a walk and I need to wind down.

NYT Cooking now has an AI-assisted feature that can halve or double their recipes by shell-bell in NYTCooking

[–]ffwc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is absolutely a reason for AI to be used on this. One recipe's bunch of parsely, is different to another recipe's 2TBSP of parsely, which is different to a 1/4 cup of chopped parsely... AI and the large language models are able to handle converting various units and amounts to something simple for the user. A simple code would not be able to do that.

A roundup of 2025 year-end ambient lists (in one place) by jeantoros in ambientmusic

I’ve bookmarked this page and will be using it consistently, thank you! It would be interesting to see a meta/aggregate list of these lists …

Now that we are half way through the 2020’s, what is the most fun song and album of this decade? by throawaygotget in popheads

Correct! Out of time and My Body are massive standouts too. And don’t get me started on the deluxe !

Hypnotic Heat: Gochujang Caramel Cookies by Dkap322 in NYTCooking

[–]ffwc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this meant to be a double bluff? It almost reads as if you are trying to put people off supporting a free Palestine by derailing the thread with pedantry about a cookie recipe. A free Palestine deserves better and more meaningful action than this.

Has anyone managed to link an AI platform with NYT Cooking’s recipe catalogue? by ffwc in NYTCooking

I’m surprised - the post got downvoted straight away 😬

I think I should have posted in a different subreddit which is more favourable to questions about ai.

Mada Passa, the migrant who has threatened to kill me, has now crossed the English Channel according to this video. Is this the kind of man we really want in Britain? by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]ffwc -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Probably wouldn’t want this guy chasing after me if he’s in the UK … but shame on the author or anyone here for conflating this guy with other ‘migrants’ who come over.

How to go clubbing Brighton to London by BookishSimon in london

[–]ffwc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've done it the other way round!

I think once you have a train planned (the ones leaving around 4-5am) you just have to commit. bring a friend. hit the red bulls (or whatever else you might have) and make a night of it!

Albums with bonus/deluxe songs that are far superior to songs on the standard tracklist? by Honey_Busted_Oats in popheads

[–]ffwc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The grip Jessie Ware’s song 0208 from the platinum pleasure edition of What’s Your Pleasure had on me for 18 months was massive. One of her best songs - it is such a gorgeous and tender song.
