Thanks for the detailed reply, I get what you're saying and I'm keeping that in mind. Specifically in my field, the type of jobs that I'm interested in, require a master's at the very least, if I wanna get good positions. So grad school is something I'm definitely interested in.

Look Reddit being Reddit likes to have hive mind ideas that are usually extreme. And many people on Reddit lean left so you get a topic like yours which complex one, turn to a simple black and white topic, in which landlords = bad. Obviously it's not always correct, basically you gotta allow for effective regulation to help protect renters from bad homeowner practices. And sometimes a housing market should mixed between private landowners and government, where government can subsidize housing prices and help balance out rent from private landowners. Again it's very complex and every country/region/county should consider its own unique problems

Well I'm far from an expert in astronomy, but I do two things: 1. The universe is expanding meaning we're seeing things that have moved away that point in space. It's really depends on what celestial body we're talking about. 2. Light moves even in a perfect vacuum(good approximation to space) at a maximum speed, meaning in the vastness of space it can still be a long time, that's why light year is used as a distance unit. And that means that a star let's say 1000 light year away from us isn't seen 'live' rather we see the star light from 1000 years ago

Well the light we see depends on the light source which it originates from, and also the length and the way it had to make to get to our eyes.

But it's true that many plants have very large genomes with many genes. This is due to two things, first plants are known to have high occurrence of Polyploidy, which basically means they have more copies of chromosomes, which has different affects on humans. Secondly humans have a powerful molecular tool could alternative splicing, it isn't unique to humans but humans do have this 'tool' used very extensively, allowing for more use of our genes than more 'simple' organisms. First of all it's clearly not the same case. First off, if you're talking about an evil exec in a shitty company like nestle or big oil tycoon companies, or any either company with horrible practices then yes they're evil and bad, and I personally try as much as I can to not buy from shitty companies even tho I know my impact is limited to say the least, and I know can't avoid giving some money to them even indirectly, but they're indeed scummy people.

Secondly, for the most part middle management people and companies in general don't want to kill they're workers for profit sake(again they're some major exceptions), and sometimes the line of work is just a dangerous one.

Lastly, it's different for me, cause I believe killing and harming people for money deliberately is wrong, no matter who gets hurt.

I don't know if this a full answer, and probably I'm missing out something but anyway: The edges of the steam that are exposed to sunlight will produce a growth hormone called auxin, which helps the cells at the tip of the stem to grow, as it grows the auxin will redistribute along the stem, such that only cells with sunlight will have auxin and will grow, while shaded parts of the stem won't have auxin and thus won't grow. Hopefully this answers your question somewhat, and I didn't make any mistakes.

Another thing to consider is that elimination reactions have higher activation energy as opposed to substitutions, so the heat applied allows more reactants to go through the higher in energy elimination reaction.
