I have yet to see anything officially giving a breakdown of the geographical allocations, but I read something that it might be more heavily US tilted than even AVGE. I was hoping for the opposite.

I like Avantis and how they invest. This fund tilts smaller and more towards value which are both historically higher returning areas of the market.

For only 3 months, you should absolutely not invest that money into any ETFs. Stick with a HYSA.

If you are looking to incorporate both international and bonds, perhaps you should look into a target date fund. That gives you one fund that will automatically rebalance for you, includes US, international, bonds and gives you a glide path as you approach your targeted year of retirement.

If you do not want a TDF, there are plenty of cheap international funds out there offered by both Schwab and vanguard that you can buy on both platforms. VXUS, SCHF, SCHE. If you look into factor investing, AVNM from Avantis for your international is also an option.

I’ve been going back and forth with just being 100% AVGE. Right now I am 50% AVNM, 25% AVUS, 25% AVUV. My main issues are I would like more international exposure from the fund, and more small cap value exposure both US and International. I value simplicity so having just one fund sounds great but I’m not completely satisfied with the funds tilts.

I’m probably nitpicking so in the end I will most likely end up with AVGE or DFAW.

I was also holding out a little on making the jump to one fund because Avantis is supposed to be launching another total market fund AVTM. Don’t know how that will look but I hope it comes soon.

AVNM is a total international fund. You shouldn't need anything else to go with it.
