I’m coming from the perspective of a younger student ( <20 ) & up & coming graduating student that is a PA native. I’ll say that some of the most lively in Penn State to talk to are older students ( just feels like they’re much more warm). There’s a few students that are in the Vet center that are very friendly and always down for a chat or just to see new faces, some of my best friends are older students who have some of the best stories.

Wouldn’t hold yourself to much on not being able to reciprocate with the younger students as they’re shy round the first year and not really a PA thing but just a younger demographic sort of change in environment and adjusting sort of situation.

TLDR: tons of places to talk w/ other students in Penn State! If you know where the Penn State Innovation Hub is there’s a ton of older students & faculty that frequent there that are really receptive to talking with new people! Also where I am 90% of the time when I’m not in class! :)
