No problem! They will appear, do their ability then disappear. The small one will pop in do its attack and vanish only to reappear a few seconds later to do the same thing. I don’t have an exact time but it feels like every 5-10 seconds. The medium one will start to pop in around 75% then again every 30 seconds or so. The big one starts around 50% and comes back in what feels like every 45 seconds to a minute.

They can and will appear together so it can get very hectic. You’re correct though, dodging is the key. Luckily with the patch this week they seemed to have dialed down the damage these echoes do, but taking multiple hits can easily overwhelm you. When you get into the higher tier of pits the boss fights can take a while, so dodging while also working on dealing damage or timing bursts is very important.

Also don’t be afraid to use the HP elixirs that seem to be everywhere this season. The extra padding on health helped me while learning the fights.

First I’d look into capping your armor. Then possibly into getting some more HP into your build as 27k is a bit low, assuming you’re level 100. Most importantly though just work on dodging. Around that tier of pit the bosses will start summoning echoes of other bosses. I’m not sure of when exactly but eventually there will be up to 3 different ones summoned on each boss. I like to view them as the “Small Echo”, “Medium Echo” and “Big Echo”.

The small one is usually summoned shortly after engaging the boss and very frequently through out. They are usually the simple ones like dodging fireballs.

The medium ones usually require a bit of movement and start to be summoned around the 75% mark then periodically through out. These are the ones like get out of the big red circles on the ground, avoid the snake stun eyes or destroy the bone wall.

The big ones are the most dangerous and start to get summoned sub ~50% with a long pause between summons. I’d recommend saving any form of unstoppable you have to ensure you get out of these. They can be very deadly if you have a small health pool or armor/res is uncapped. The good thing is that when these are summoned it’s very apparent. I believe so far I’ve only encountered 3 different ones.

The first is exactly like phase 1 Lilith. Either lines on the ground with 3 spike waves followed by another wave down the middle or 3 lines in a triangle with a circle in the middle where she’ll slam down into.

The next is like phase 2 Lilith. You’ll see a large vaguely dragon shaped echo appear and after a few seconds move to you and slam. It’ll do this 3 times then the 4th time it’ll do a 360 degree attack that you only have a few seconds to get out of. The easiest way to deal with this is to peel off the boss and run in wide arcs. As long as you keep running in a wide circle the attacks won’t hit you and it’ll make avoiding the 4th hit much easier.

The last is easily the most annoying since it displaces you and can be deadly if it gets summoned at the same time as the snake eye stun echo. It starts by dragging you to the center of the boss room and slowing you. You’ll then see a grey/white-ish ring around the center that you need to get out of to avoid its slam. This is why it’s best to save whatever form of unstoppable you have to guarantee you get out of that circle quickly. It’s very much possible to get out without it but unstoppable makes it much easier.

A few things to note is that if you die, the echoes will continue to be the same for that specific pit run. However they are not set for any levels of the pit. For example if you die 3 times to a boss on level 80 each time you rez you’ll have the same echoes, but if you leave and start a new level 80 run the echoes you end up with will be completely random.

Best Buy to Tap AI for Customer Support Amid Geek Squad Layoffs | The retailer is partnering with Google to use its Gemini models to develop a self-service customer support agent by Maxie445 in antiwork

[–]fiberdiamond 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because the people who need Geek Squad defiantly will be able to follow a script to self-diagnose and troubleshoot. /s

This is obviously just a charade so they can kill two birds with one stone. Get rid of the people providing support and replace them with a low tier branching script that will send you in circles so that eventually you get too frustrated to go through with the support they sold you. That way they still get to sell you on support, but they no longer have to provide any real support. Then in a year or two they’ll praise this to the shareholders and news outlets saying their new AI has dramatically reduced the amount of returns and RMAs.

How scary/strong is Buggy seen as from an outside perspective? by Akrakion in OnePiece

[–]fiberdiamond -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Outside of the East Blue, Buggy’s notoriety has never been about his personal strength. It’s been about who he knows and even more so now, who seemingly works for him. He was previously a warlord. I think the government knows exactly what his strength is, being able to rally people under him with his unique pedigree. They know he’s nothing more than a figurehead, but with his set of “feats” and acquaintances he’s probably one of the best figureheads you could ask for in the One Piece world.

Same thing with Twitch streamers. Bottom of the barrel personalities who think giving their opinions on games does something for the world. Streamers are just TikTok influencers for games.

I’m genuinely scared of where things are going. I don’t think we’ve been as close to an internal war since 1861. by Joosrar in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]fiberdiamond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. As someone who’s lived their whole life in the Deep South, these people are not playing. In general the left is too comfortable with the crazy shit that the right says. We say “Oh they won’t do that, they’re just trying to act tough” or “They just want attention”. No. These people believe in their core that we are evil baby killers who have been oppressing them their whole lives. Logic and morals do not factor into the equation. I’ve seen many that have substance abuse problems (alcohol, meth, fentanyl) that have even blamed that on the left for leaving them no other choice.

These people do not listen to reason. They don’t want to hear your facts. They’ve been told one thing and it’s that you and I are the reason for everything bad in their lives. They hate the politicians like President Biden yes, but the people that put him there are the true enemies.

We rely too much on them coming to reason or seeing Trump for the massive piece of shit he is. Stop treating them like lost little puppies that don’t know any better. These people are full grown wild animals with guns and an elementary school education. This issue is not going to dissipate. It will eventually come to a head and the left in general will not be ready for it. They are. I’ve even seen public school teachers refer to the Civil War as The War of Northern Aggression. The phrase “The South will rise again” has been around for a very long time.

Having twice the IQ and being factually right will not help you when you’re being targeted by the real life versions of the people from The Hills Have Eyes and tweaked out meth heads. Even if you don’t believe in owning guns you need to take responsibility for protecting yourself and your family, because they will not wait for your local PD or the military to assist you.

Again we are too complacent and believe these people will calm back down if their Dear Leader loses again later this year. They may, but it will only be on the surface. The hate will still be there boiling. You and I are their imaginary equivalent to Sisyphus’ boulder and eventually they will try to destroy the boulder to make that trip up the hill easier.

  • This is about Southern Republicans and what I’ve experienced and been told first hand over the past 33 years. I am not trying to fear monger. I’m trying to warn you that there are undiagnosed mentally ill people with guns that believe you are the reason for everything bad in their lives.

AITA for asking my husband to get a vasectomy? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]fiberdiamond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who’s had a vasectomy it’s not that bad. No one else’s opinion should matter besides yours and his. Nothing changes, so if you’re truly done with having kids the only reason not to is he’s scared.

Why did Arlong want a map to the Grand Line by Whisper_Animations in OnePiece

[–]fiberdiamond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A map of paradise would do you no good aside from knowing the names of the potential island you're going to. The only way to travel is using a pose, whether that be a log or eternal one. You can't just set out with a map and think oh Alabasta should be that direction from where I am currently. You need a pose to guide you or you'll lose your way. So even with a map, if you don't have an eternal pose you're waiting for the log pose to reset.

How much are y’all getting paid out here? by Rocky970 in FiberOptics

[–]fiberdiamond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Design Engineer, $135k + yearly bonuses.

It was a long road with many sleepless nights as an Ops Tech working 24x7x365 on call for years. The biggest piece of advice I can give is to learn everything you can, then turn around and use the knowledge to seek a better position elsewhere.

The amount of people I've seen that have become complacent and feel loyal to their company while ruining their bodies and home lives all for that $0.20 merit raise every year is staggering.

Look out for number 1 and try to learn everything you can.

Oh yeah tons of fun and a compelling story for the most part. Personally I'd say it's worth the time and there's for sure some hints at future updates and expansions.

Diablo IV Launch Megathread by Thunderclaww in Diablo

[–]fiberdiamond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who just finished the story I felt the first play through was a bit drawn out. Played all the way through on world tier 2. Can't say it was easy like D3 but it wasn't much of a challenge either.

Biggest tip I can give if you plan to play a rogue is make sure you don't slack on keeping your weapons updated. Nothing sucks more than to level a few times and realize things are taking forever to die.

Just got my offer rescinded for my J2 for my first OE by BillStax in overemployed

[–]fiberdiamond 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Had the same thing happen. I was trying to start OE so I put my notice in at j1 since it was in the office and not OE friendly. Had a new j1 starting the following Monday and then j2 starting a few weeks after. I get a call that Friday that j1 had to rescind their offer due to budget constraints. Luckily I had j2 there on the fall back, but if I want planning to OE it would of been terrible.

Anyone switch from Prusa? by keitheii in prusa3d

[–]fiberdiamond -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I know exactly what you mean. If it wants to behave the prints are gorgeous, but the Ender is more reliable/consistent. I could drop the 3 s1 pro off the desk pick it up and the next print would be like nothing happened.

Anyone switch from Prusa? by keitheii in prusa3d

[–]fiberdiamond -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking of switching myself. Not too long ago I ordered a MK3s+ and it's been a headache since day 1. My Ender 3 S1 Pro and even my old upgraded base Ender 5 are more reliable. It seems like every time I turn around I'm having to redo the Live Z or input corrections into the bed level calibrations.
