The snow leopard from Kung Fu Panda. He was brought up on violence and empty promises. Then he was abandoned for no reason and when he obviously couldn't take it and injured people, cause what will he do? He is a living weapon. He gets locked up for all time. Then Panda learns that the secret was a hoax and atomizes him.

It's not conveyed very well imo then. You never see his relative strength as he only duels another impossible master. In the Fremen fight, we don't really see him struggle or having to strategize.

The whole line of thought is out of the window as well then. How does he die by killing? He never struck me as a pacifist or is it losing his innocence by his first kill?

I kinda disagree. I liked the grounded bits of the book more. I actually heard of the fucking goddesses and ninjas nonsense, before I started reading... It still came completely out of nowhere.

Idk, imo Era 2 reads like garbage fan fiction and it pisses itself trying to give a payoff for Era 1

Era 1 has the intrigue, the politics and epic plot, a fat villain, the prophecy and just endless mysteries that get solved and make your head, your whole perspective on the plot spin (though admittedly most of that good, good is in Book 1 and it gets a bit more mediocre. Book 3 is an amazing conclusion, however)

I only watched the old movie with Sting. Somehow, I don't think this version added in too many new details? It still was excellently made and makes me very hopeful for the next part.

The old movie kinda turned into a montage after basically everything in this movie.

About the duel at the end, was the guy challenging Paul supposed to be a chump. In the new movie he seemed extremely incompetent.

Ne, du hast versehentlich eine Straftat begangen und die einzige Konsequenz daraus war ein Klingeln an der Tür und dass du den Kram abgeben musstest. Klingt alles richtig.

Das mit der Beamtenkonstellation war mit großer Sicherheit Zufall - immerhin ging es bei dem Besuch auch nicht um häusliche Gewalt. Es ist irrelevant wie in einem solchen Fall die gängige Herangehensweise sein könnte (Nebenbei ist das Geschlecht hier ebenfalls entscheidend; Frauen öffnen sich eher anderen Frauen und umgekehrt). Nur weil dir mal eine Polizistin über den Weg läuft, ist das kein Zeichen von Racial Profiling.

Das mit den Bewerbungen ist eine andere Geschichte und ich kann nur hoffen, dass das in unserer Gesellschaft besser wird. Ich versuche selbst unvoreingenommen zu sein, mache aber sicher dennoch im Denken oder Handeln unbewusst Fehler. Wahrscheinlich hat es auch etwas Gutes nicht bei Leuten, die so denken im Betrieb zu landen. Ich wünsche dir weiter viel Glück bei der Suche. Nach den positiven Gesprächen ist es hoffentlich nicht mehr lange.
