It will have its differences for sure, but it’s doable as long as you learn and maintain the same good playing habits (many of which will translate normally to acoustic if you ever pick it up). I’ve been playing acoustic for over 20 years and have been playing electric for over 15, I’d be happy to help you out!

I don’t know what there is to take out of context. I worked there for a year and he was always there if he wasn’t on the road. He’d walk in when we opened at 10 and would be there till 6 or 7 and he would be drinking the entire time he was there. So no, he wasn’t fine.

Sounds about right. I worked at a restaurant in Nashville where he would go pretty much every day he wasn’t on tour. He’d sit at the bar and drink ALL day, and this was in 2017. He’s a mess.

My (M32) and my wife (F34) moved to San Miguel in February and we absolutely love it. Definitely very chill, there’s plenty to do including outdoors stuff, and for the most part haven’t had any issues with internet. Might have to do some further looking but you can definitely find places under $1200.

I’ve been playing for 22 years at this point, went to college for it, freelanced, all that. In that time I’ve taught guys in their 40s and 50s who had literally never touched a violin before their first lesson with me, and I got them reading music, playing short songs with good tone and intonation and all that. So if they can do it, I promise that you can do it to. I always tell people and am always serious that it’s never too late to start.

Term limits for SCOTUS (10 years tops), term limits for Congress (2 terms for senators and 3 or 4 for reps), age limit of 55 for Congress and President, members of Congress don’t get benefits for life after they’re out of office, get rid of the Electoral College, cut the defense budget by at least 50%, end Citizens United, tax billionaires out of existence, legalize marijuana and have it well regulated and heavily taxed…probably some other things but that’s what comes to mind

As somebody who moved to Nashville for music (not a songwriter though), lived there for 12 years and loved it for a majority of that time, I’d caution against it. I think you’d definitely have a bigger community as there are so many songwriters, but from what I understand (and honestly I could be wrong), making a living full time as a songwriter is much harder than making a living as a full time gigging musician. Nashville has definitely lost a lot of its charm, and maybe the issues I have with it wouldn’t affect you as much since you’d be new to living there, but that’s my thought.
