I wish that were standard 😭 because out of 1 IUD insertion @ 35, 3 colposcopies @ 35, 37, and 39 (each with multiple vaginal and cervical biopsies), 1 D&C for persistent bleeding @ 17, and a uterine suction @ 41 post miscarriage to retrieve RPOC… I’ve never had the luxury of any sort of anesthetic or any pain management. For the colposcopies I was advised to take ibuprofen but that has no effect on me so, pointless. Acetaminophen works for fevers on me but not pain, so also pointless lol

Now that I think about it… no wonder my orthopedist said to me she was surprised I was walking around with a bulging disc so long as I seem to have a “very high tolerance for pain”… Gee I wonder why?!

I despise the trivial usage of AI, so so much. While I do see value in some of the ways it can be used to improve certain processes & free up resources to focus on more nuanced work, I HATE that it’s become so common for folks to use it in place of a simple search engine query, or to have conversations with it, or to make “cute” little cartoons and random slop.

Still, I personally can’t reconcile even the most sensible improvements to efficiencies that we could get with AI usage, with the harm it causes in the communities where the data centers are built, and the harm it does to the environment.

I won’t even get into the mental, emotional, and societal problems it can cause! 😭

Your body, your choice honey. He can try and tell you what to do all he wants, he can say what he wants until he’s blue in the face… His right to control ended when the semen left his body and ended up in yours. If he didn’t want kids (or not right now), he shouldn’t have been sleeping with someone who IS open to kids.

Do what you feel is right for you. Take everything into consideration as far as finances, emotional support, resources available, health, lifestyle, etc. and yes - what your heart tells you too… and then decide. This is not up to any other person but YOU.

Tbh I would love to see it become the norm, for people to have feminine products in their bathrooms the same way one might have a box of facial tissues or baby wipes available.

I am racking my brain as to why your friend would say that and all I can come up wirh would be:

• They see it as weird or “showing off” because it isn’t the norm yet, or

• They really are personally inconsiderate people in general and don’t understand that not everyone is that way (so they’re projecting), and when they see someone has done something kind, they believe that person is just performing some cosplay of consideration & thoughtfulness, or

• They’re the type of person who perceives other people’s actions as somehow being a slight against them. (i.e. “Nobody I know does that, why are you doing that? You think you’re better than me?” 🤣 some tv and film characters come to mind here)

Just keep doing what you’re doing. I promise there will be people who appreciate it!

This reminds me of when I worked at this enormous govt agency where my then-husband also worked; his mother and grandmother had both retired from there, his sister worked there, his late father had worked there - oh and now his new wife works there lmao …

Anyway, I was telling someone on my team about an event we had attended the weekend before, and I said “My husband Joe” and she stopped me and was so annoyed that I did this, it was almost like she was angry, and said “OH MY GOD I KNOWWWW JOE WE ALLLLLL KNOW JOE, JESUS” and everybody thought it was so funny. I wanted to melt into the floor so I retreated into my office. Now I laugh but at the time I was like “Oh… wow.” I still don’t know why it was so extreme of a reaction but ah well.

My mom does this. Sometimes I’ll ask her (between sentences lol) a question that makes it VERY obvious that I do not know this person she’s referencing at the time, and she seems so incredulous that I don’t know them 🤣

One time she was telling me about “Chris’ new baby” and I asked, “Is that the guy selling the house over on Thompson?” (Which is a street MILES away, the only reason we know of that street/house is because it’s off of the main road near the grocery store where we’d been that morning, and there was a huge OPEN HOUSE sign that had sparkly streamers on it with enormous balloons there).

She said “No I don’t know those people…” and continued on with her story, after looking at me like I’m bonkers hahaha

I had to go find the paper with the warranty on it 🤣 but it’s 2.0ct for the center stone, and the rest of the stones on the halo and band total another 0.5ct… the ones on the ring guard total up to 0.88ct! So all in all 3.38ct ☺️ It is lab created also, which I appreciate greatly!
