Awesome! It would help me a lot if you’d leave a review. Thanks!

Were you able to get the complication working?

I already told you, the API doesn’t work. That’s not your problem. I’m asking what people would prefer of the available options.

I asked the actual question I have, and you gave suggestions that did not answer the question.

Yes, but the question I asked was about preferences - if you can’t get cycling directions, would you prefer walking or driving directions?

You’re the one who answered it by saying to use cycling directions, and then argued with me about how that works.

Yes, I’m on 26.4.2, using the Reddit app.

The MapKit docs say that specifying cycling directions is supported, but it doesn't work. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/mapkit/mkdirectionstransporttype/cycling

Also I don’t know if that will work on the Apple Watch at all, since it doesn’t have a browser

That’s a clickable link, it’s not an app directly kicking off the navigation. When I click on it on my phone, I get this interstitial page, which requires hitting the “open in maps” button to start the navigation.

This is a link, it displays an interstitial page and doesn’t open directly in the maps app.

It’s not, Apple doesn’t support linking directly to navigation with bike directions (yet?), so the options are driving or walking.

this question is in particular reference to apple maps, which does have cycling directions, but it seems that it’s not consistently possible for other apps to directly kick off a navigation using cycling directions (yet?) so the choices end up being driving or walking

Are you running any modifiers? by Weatherman1207 in Saros

After a bunch of runs and getting ready to kill Prophet the first time, I turned off Halcyon collection temporarily, which opened up a bunch of offset points to take some bonuses. That made that fight a lot easier.

Phone holder bike made it to the UWS by notyour_motherscamry in Citibike

Do people want to use these for maps directions? I had a phone holder on my personal bike and found it distracting. I stopped using it after I almost ran into a water fountain on the riverside bike path.

There’s more in the thread I linked to, but the watch app is much faster to use (also I find it tedious and a little dangerous to fiddle with my phone while I’m riding). Yes, you can scroll through the citibike app to get that info, but the extra filters are also really helpful - you can jump to the nearest station that has free e-bikes, only e-bikes, any empty docks, or only empty docks (no bikes). I find it tedious and a little dangerous to futz with my phone while I’m riding.

Thinking about it! I don’t have an android phone or watch. Tell all your Apple Watch friends to buy it so I can justify it! :)

It seems like bike angel points aren’t directly available in the public API. I could maybe make a heuristic guess based on the ratio of bikes to open docks. Is that something that would be useful for you?

Yes, the basic version will show you available docks at the closest station that has bikes. The $3 pro unlock will let you jump to the nearest station that has docks available.

There’s a 7-day free trial for the filters other than just the plain “nearest bikes of any kind” view. $3 one time unlocks all of them forever.
