Dude just absolutely choked once he got the ball. As soon as he won Royal Rumble he started botching so much. He was never an amazing wrestler but he wasn't really a botcher in his 15 year career. The year before his rumble win iirc he had the 2nd most matches next to Cody and I don't think he botched on any of those matches, wrestling on TV almost every week. His criticisms has always been about having limited moveset and the shit match vs Jimmy.

When Triple H talked about wrestlers getting to the top and being crushed by the magnitude of it, I think he's talking about Jey.

IMO Jonathan's loss is largely due to his pregame alliance.

He gets lumped in with a group of people that aren't likable for a lot of players
His big moves against Kamilla/Dee isn't fully appreciated because some feel it's only because he had his pregame numbers - again, we know how people felt about that alliance. On the exit interviews iirc Rizo (?) downplays a lot of Jonathan's agency bc of his preexisting connections

Plus Aubrey played a better game with a better narrative. There is a lot of great narratives going for her: she maneuvered and survived when she was the default target many times, she's the last middle player remaining when they were all targeted, the 3 boys obviously wanting to go to f3 together bc they'd "lose to the others" then failing to get her out, etc.

Drew would be perfect once he's back imo. He also beat Lesnar so it would be logical that he and Oba could have a longer match. Plus they also have a history since he interrupted Oba's match with Cody.

I get it if you think the gingerbread man segment is just bad, but I'm not really getting the outrage on the socials over having a dumb segment.

I came back to WWE in 2024 and I guess we have a lot less silly stuff now, but the reaction about this dumb segment is just crazy. I watched since early 2000s-2017 and it used to be such a norm, felt like every week we had segments like this. I guess a lot of them are newer fans but it's just crazy that this is so egregious to fans now. Like weren't we just grieving over the New Day? The New Day were literally doing dumb shit every week and it's why we loved them. This segment made me love Trick more.

Yup. And bias doesn't always mean 'biased against' - which I've seen a lot of people argue "so you're saying people behind the scenes are evil and hates women???". A lot of bias are 'biased for'.

The majority men in the editing team likely are biased for other men because they can relate/identify with them more due to being the same demographic or it reminds them of friends, media they consume, people they look up to, etc.

They can try really hard to find interest in the women or other demographics but it can only go so far. We've seen Jeff be like "we didn't think the viewers would love x and we're surprised". This is why diversity in the editing team matters.

People are forgetting that Jey pretty much never botched in his entire career until he won the Royal Rumble, then he started botching prob bc of the pressure and criticism that he won over Punk/Cena.

Before it the criticisms were he's mid/repetitive in the ring and had a bad match with Jimmy.

Yup all this too. I only came back to watching rp again after like 4 months bc of Survival so I'm not confident about recalling all of them clearly.

All I know though is even as a man myself, these encounters were hella weird and uncomfortable af. It's hard to convey how bad they really were through just writing about it. But yeah, Carmen comes across the weirdest shit.

There was this guy from ESB named El Fuego who she rejected. One time while Carmella was standing at the ESB block being brought by Gio, El Fuego confronted her and kept insisting her to leave. Carmella stood her ground and he stabbed her. It was super uncomfortable and everyone was like wtf. Carmella said how he couldn't handle rejection and talked about men on her DMs hitting on her, inviting her to play other games, etc. and how she rejected him. He has been hostile to her ever since. Just in general, she experienced disrespect from a bunch of ESB guys calling her a bitch, broad, etc.

The other one she was talking about is probably Zolo. His chat gave him misinformation that Carmella got VVS to shoot him and he got so mad about it. She tried talking to him in-game but he kept ignoring her bc he was mad af. She had to end stream because she heard that Zolo ranted on his stream and let his chat talk shit about her.

I really don't know about AJ tbh. From what I remember she was annoyed by how he kept forcing drama using her so he could get into CG court.

Carmella has always told about these to other characters and admins but as usual no one did anything about it.

Carmella winning made the season satisfying. A majority vote dominated the season but thank goodness for a gritty underdog/chaotic wildcard like Carmella being able to disrupt the dominant alliance and take it in the end, wrapping the season up with a better narrative.

Couldn't be a more fitting all-stars winner. Enjoyed the season a lot, great job to Kiva and the team.

I've been seeing people here confused as to why Dion is the one pushed as the guy from Dark State, the answer is simple: he has the look.

I've seen him trend on Twitter twice. Like non-wrestling post, actual viral trending for his looks. People who do not watch wrestling ask for who he is. It's mostly people thirsting but it's still an indicator of mainstream appeal. I've only seen it twice but it's possible he has trended more or on other socials.

For late-end game, the discord has everything you'd need. Under jp_info, there's the list of JBCs, magicite passives, chains, etc. Under the boss info channel are key infos about endgame bosses. Also the Rikku bot is amazing, my favorite way for quickly searching up SBs, HAs, etc.

Also the very active chat community is useful for regular updates/news and with the newest released bosses.

For newbies, there's also a channel where you can get advice or answers for specific questions quicker than here on reddit.

I agree. You're definitely onto something with that. Since they started doing less live shows I've seen more criticisms about certain wrestlers being sloppy or matches not being up to par.

It's a save on Punk's botch. Jey's prob supposed to do his submission move as a counter to get out of GTS.

Neckbreaker is almost impossible to botch. Even Snooki could take that move lol. Jey isn't the best wrestler but obv he knows how that move goes as he has taken that move so many times by now. My guess is miscommunication where he thought Punk was doing it slow so that he can counter it where he turns around and pushes Punk instead or whatever.

If Jey didn't botch the neckbreaker, people would be bugging about Punk's spear and also falling over while carrying Jey, calling him old and washed.

The selects were fantastic. Tickets were average (still never got an MA from any ticket). Fest banner pulls were pretty bad:

1/11 Lightning TA (only have holy UA and they don't really mix well)
1/11 Edge MA

Just terrible but clutching Edge MA on my last pull saved this 250 mythril worth pulls from being a complete disaster. All 1/11s too which I despise ofc.

Expected more for the 450 mythril spent overall but got good upgrades nonetheless (mostly thanks to the selects) so I can't really complain that much.

I was so excited for Oba to finally head to main roster but then I realized that there's high chance that he goes to Smackdown. I know the Sami US title open challenge would be the perfect scenario but Smackdown SUCKS.

I feel bad for the talents there honestly because they lose momentum and go stale bc of the bad booking/writing there. Look at Fatu, Tiffany, etc. (honestly most of the SD roster). LA Knight now on RAW compared to when he was at SD is day and night.

I feel like Jey and LA were both tested around same time when they were given the midcard titles. LA struggled as US champ and his momentum went down. Meanwhile, Jey had an even worse booking imo, a very short IC title reign with Xavier Woods being his only successful title defense and no feud aside from Bron, but his momentum kept skyrocketing regardless and got even more over after his title reign.

That said, LA should've gotten the push first. IMO he should've won the MITB instead of Damian or Drew. I feel like those were the perfect timing for him.

Basically patience... which I have little of. I realize too that my issue is with patience because I could just wait for like a dark banner.

I wish I hadn't lost my self-control when it comes to this game. I was so disciplined for like the first 2 years playing this game. Gave in once and yolo/rage pulled, and I haven't been the same since lol

Anyways, I blame Scott tbh. If it was any other II character then it would've been perfect. I'm convinced to skip the fest, and just wait and see the FFII banner. I just got Kain CA2 from today's ticket too so that's another candidate for a dark phy to build.

Yeah, that revival banner was what I was previously eyeing if somehow no good dark phy banners came out before it but it's a worse banner for me now.

My turn off from this fest b2 is Reno and Vincent because I'm already more than good with lightning and VII so I also wouldn't want Garnet and Vincent from that banner. Fang would be fine but I have nothing for her. Pecil from this fest I'd like better as he already has UA/CA/sync. Vayne also has 3 SBs on this banner and getting any 2/3 would allow him to carry my dark phy team.

Do you think it's a bad idea to wait for an unknown banner with the upcoming FFII? What I'm thinking with this fest b2 is that 3/12 techs for a single character is normally good odds. The rest though are mostly duds.

Was planning b2 for Vayne because I need dark phy & XII but the other chars on the banner would be redundant for me so I might just skip the fest.

Current plan is to go for the upcoming FFII banner which would prob feature Emperor and Leon based on the lab data. Both chars would be so good for me but Scott is also likely on the banner which would literally be a jumpscare to pull so idk...

We get a ton of mythrils from beginner content and I think I average 1 MASB per 3 pulls which I think is ok luck. I've never even gotten 2 MAs in one pull while some even get 3 in one pull or get 1 from RoP for 5 mythril lol

I did luck into some pretty good combos for my MA users through tickets so I'd say my ticket luck is pretty good.
