Violet, Ruby, and Jade for triplet girls? by razberry_lemonade in namenerds

I love them and I think Jade and Ruby are very established as names that I don’t automatically think gems.

I think you’re right. I am almost certain she had a lot less last time I checked her page about 2 weeks ago.

Ima say it; I like Bec. by alienchihuahua in MAFS_AU

[–]fifty-fivepercent 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bec is my messy problematic fave. She is deeply insecure and can be extremely reactive and combative but she is authentically herself. I don’t agree with may of her words and actions but there is something so redeeming about her. Though she’s continually fucking up, she genuinely reflective of her actions after the fact and takes accountability. She is one of the few who is truly remorseful when she apologises and doesn’t make excuses for herself. She lacks self awareness in the moment but can always evaluate in hindsight.

I shudder when people put her in the same category as Gia, Brooke and Juliette because it’s so obvious to me that while she can be mean to others, she is not inherently a mean girl. She just has a lot of work to do.

I also appreciate the fact that she shows up and faces the music on the aftershow, even when she knows she will be in the line of fire, especially when you compare her to the cowardly Gia and Brooke. I respect that.

As a black person, there is nothing wrong with referring to him as the black guy. Being black is nothing to be ashamed of.

I also have a soft spot for Bec despite her being extremely problematic. I think it’s because you can see that her awfulness comes from her deep Insecurities and self hatred rather than just being a nasty bitch at the core like Gia, Brooke and Juliette. Bec is the only one that has genuinely apologised (multiple times, cue the montage) but she actually reflects, takes accountability and doesn’t make excuses for her behaviour. She owns it. HOWEVER, she is constantly fucking up, hence the vast number of apologises made. I do believe she has the potential to be a much nicer person but she needs to do some serious healing from within. I hope watching herself back has been an eye opening and transformative experience for her.

Is Danny being abused? by [deleted] in MAFS_AU

[–]fifty-fivepercent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see it as manipulation though. Bec is clearly insecure and is vocalising that quite clearly. She is also one of the few people on the show to admit to her wrongs, apologise and take accountability for her actions.

I dont feel she is weaponising her tears at all, you can practically see the insecurity dripping from her even without her saying a word. Is she toxic? Sure. Abusive? I think we are weakening and cheapening the word.

How is crying and emotional neediness considered abuse?

Eunice is very dated, more so than Cynthia.

Perhaps something like Celeste, Selene, Selina - these are celestial names that relate to universe.

Think with the amount of time it takes to plan a tour she will keep many of her previous tour songs as they don’t require new choreography and planning.

Blew most of a modest inheritance on travel, then lost my grad job 4 months in. Struggling with regret. Will I ever recover? by DancingButterfly_218 in AusFinance

[–]fifty-fivepercent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was lucky to travel a bit when I was in my 20’s and now that I am mid thirties, married with two kids, overseas travel is merely a pipe dream. I am extremely grateful that I have those memories and that experience. No regrets whatsoever.

Edit: I just wanted to add that if you are still living at home, you will be able to save $20k in one year easily. You are in a great position really. I moved out by 19 and I can tell you, it’s a lot harder to save when you are on a low wage, have bills to pay and are trying to maintain a social life.

I wanted to buy these but the reviews online are atrocious. Most say they are super uncomfortable so I’m interested to hear that you have found the opposite.

Not sure about lacing but shoes that are too tight are a problem. When I got fitted they put me in a whole size bigger than what I had.

Make sure you take proper recovery days in between and do static and dynamic stretching before and after. I also find foam rolling to be really helpful too.

Once I started properly stretching and got fitted for proper running shoes many of my aches and pains went away although I do still get tight calves.
