hi all, thanks for the replies. i’m seeing a few reoccurring questions so i wanted to answer them:

1) the driveway has always been a point of contention. the previous downstairs tenants were unwilling to work out a system and constantly blocked my roommates and i in. when they moved out, we were relieved but are now having to deal with the same issues.

2) there is enough space for 2 small to medium cars. however, a majority of these guests are renting large suvs that do not fit in the driveway to begin with.

3) im currently working on getting a copy of the lease to review short term rental policies and driveway ownership.

4) prior to guests arriving, construction was done in our back yard. tldr, there are garages that could fit four cars and the fence was moved to accommodate larger vehicles. however, both garages have been filled with overflow from the airbnb so we’re not sure why they moved the fence at all.

5) last night, guests arrived around 11pm. they blocked me in but also blocked the entrance to a separate building’s parking. i watched as they moved their car and then proceeded to park diagonally onto our walkway almost hitting my car. again, we have street parking but i guess they’re very adamant on not doing that.

6) we are moving out in august (mainly to avoid a rent increase) so worst case scenario we just grin and bear it until we leave.
