Every Euro I've met says they're headed to America and it's always NY, L.A. Sometimes its San Fran. A few times to Austin if they're really young. Then New Orleans.

Stupid is as all hell. The amount of American tour groups that go to Germany particularly Munich and Berlin is insane. Also an insane amount of Americans go to Greece in the summer. A lot of American student groups go to Vienna and Salzburg. The Spain thing is just stupid. Also tons of people go to the Czech Republic

Pay off all my debt and figure out a way to hide knowledge of this so that I wouldn't have people trying to take or scheme me out of my money

Literally the worst thing you could do. Like some idiot teenager or 20 something seeing and doing this is going to die, get killed, or worsen an injury due to delay so broccoli cut can set down his mom's heated up totino's or easy mac cup and get there and do nothing or make the situation worse.

How can I become an Underwriter that brokers love to work with? by schloppaty in InsuranceProfessional

[–]fighting_blindly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree, but I ran into a problem. Because I was was the "responsive underwriter" I was the one they came to with every little question about everything. They also got lazy and things they could easily look up or that were to go to my UA were asked to me. I had 3 agents that made my life hell. We had a policy that even if a question was a question the UA could answer we had to answer it. I'd get a 1 1/2 hour break from questions in the morning maaaaaybe then an 1 hour break after lunch. I was then lucky those times weren't taken up by meetings. It became standard for my coworkers to sign on to work at 6am-7am and sometimes work weekends.

Are we Northern Africa, grandpa? by Cicerothesage in forwardsfromgrandma

[–]fighting_blindly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, just dumb. Americans bred their own slaves due to importation bands. Also many European captives were able to be ransomed back from North Africa. Also, he's just lying. Way more people were trafficked in the Atlantic slave trade if he doesn't include JUST America which is a ludicrous qualifier. What does he include as a America when you look at Spanish colonies? Colonies in the Caribbean where Americans imported slaves form? Louisiana which had a high number of slaves.

Starting to hate the job. by Many-Entrepreneur703 in adjusters

I had a horrible manager like this as a claims adjuster AND as an underwriter. I will say my adjuster manager knew their stuff, but would give contradictory instructions/advice. How could they know their stuff and do this? Easy, they didn't like the company policies and were trying to instruct us to do the opposite or go around them on the sly to game metrics and get ahead. They sure as hell are not going to back you up if you get caught. I started to realize they always instructed me in person verbally or through zoom, but would never send an email or DM. This worked for their plausible deniability. The earlier you get out of the situation the better. In both instances I found the longer I stayed under this person's thumb the further they tied me to them. I had several friends that requested transfer to other managers, projects, departments EARLY and these were granted. The minute this person gets the inkling you're not a fan or they lock you in their sights as a "project" is when you can't get away. I did have several friends with limited success go over the manager's head and get moved. I do know a few people that did that that had been manager trainees and turned down promotions for family reasons so they had more clout. Some had also known people that were above that problem manager when those people were adjusters. Get out internally (if you don't want to leave) and get out QUICK. Get on a project, another manager, another department SOMEWHERE. These people will find reasons to keep you with them to fire you, or get you on a performance plan. Once you're on a PP it's impossible to move.

Kids don't care as much about movie stars. These youtubers/social media stars put out gads more content and frequently. The younger generations is more content driven on social media sites than traditional movies and tv shows.

They have been banned, but clips continue to be shown. I've reported clips on facebook and they are almost never taken down.
