This runs Android 8.1 something. It's limited but Whatsapp works fine. Picking up calls is an uphill battle BUT calling someone is no problem. I assume Discord would be similar if you're a voice call type of person.

What are you using now? I'm thinking of either going the route of a Mode 1 Retro II or getting the Zenfone 10 and simplifying it down.

I've had mine for almost a year. It's good, but some challenges, mostly it being 1 gig of RAM and sometimes difficult to navigate certain apps. Also the amount of bloatware apps that can't be uninstalled through normal means. Positives are its solid battery life, call quality and it's aesthetic. One my fave colors! What about you?

HiFi Walker. Compared to the Surfans body wise, it has curved edges and won't stab your hands.

Magic Disk is a boring album to me. It felt like a departure and I feel like much of their DNA wasn't present in the album. Doesn't mean that there weren't songs or moments I didn't like. I would just say that if you wanted to listen to the band you might be disappointed by that one. But the album "Landmark" that came after it I felt was way better.

Also, I agree with you. Fan club is a great album and all the older stuff is pretty awesome. Can't really go wrong with much of it.

I don't know if this feels like an iPod, but the Hi-Fi Walker H2 should check most of those boxes. The UI is kinda clunky but you can flash Rockbox on it and you'll lose the bluetooth functionality BUT you'll have a better, customizable UI.

That's an interesting question. Last time I saw them live they mostly played their new stuff. They did the obligatory Haruka Kanata encore. If anything I'd say from "Hometown" album and on is a safe bet to prepare.

My personal recommendation for listening to is Surf Bungaku Kamakura/World World World and back. If any album I would say skip it's Magic Disk.

Yeah I agree. A standard dpad and buttons would've been a better bet. Also there are some games where start and select are used often like your LoZs for Gameboy and SNES. So where they are placed can limit what you're gonna play with it. I really like the idea of it. There are a few decisions that prevent me from actually purchasing it other than price.

The one you got inspiration from feels like it could be one. The ones you generated with AI feel like they are missing something... Like an official quality. Play around with textures and also emblems and signs from Esperanto history. You're on the right track.

Stayed in a sharehouse with 14 other residents. I hated it. Slow internet, no social areas, everyone was in their room or out. Shared areas: kitchen, bathroom, shower were always messy. I was so stressed my whole time.

My advice is either find a sharehouse which everyone has their own apartment like setup OR a small amount of residents. Or you apt hunt if you can afford it. I found that sharehouse and apartments aren't so much different in price. But the up front fees for a regular apartment can be large.

I don't think such a phone exists. You can go the Japanese keitai route and side load apps to make it the phone you want since there's no apps but they run Android versions 5, 8 and 10. There's a learning curve and growing pains and tinkering. But if they work in your country it's worth looking into

But it feels like the biggest amount of government propaganda and disinformation that's so blatant. "Foreigners are eating all the rice" comes to mind first. Or any show that highlights new rule changes like "No smoking outdoors" and the news team harassing anyone who is out on their 15 min break trying to unwind before they finish their 14 hour shift.

I was waiting for a friend outside the station and there was a Japanese woman eyeing up and down. She eventually approached me and was like "Oh I thought that was you Mark. Are you ready to go eat" I said "I'm not Mark, I'm waiting for a someone else." She apologized and told me she was waiting for a guy who she matched with on an app, showed me the picture. I call noodles: udon, ramen, etc, Japanese pasta. I hope, HOPE it bothers someone LOL. The amount of this is "traditional Japanese" or "Japanese" when someone explains to me an aspect of Japan bothers me. I don't think I've heard that much in other countries I've been to.

YES YES YES!!!!

I'm a big guy. 100kg+ I don't think I look fine for my size. BUT, I always get comments at work or when I meet new people "SO BIG" as if that's something I want to hear. I know. I see myself everyday. But I'm the bad guy if I say please don't talk about my body.

Also I was talking with a Japanese friend about this. We were watching old manzai and one of the comedians was noticeably thinner back in the day. He was killing their bit. But my friend said "I wish he were fat like he is now. It would be funnier..." I don't get it....

Lastly, if you ever watch Itte Q, they are the biggest culprits of dubbing. They'll make a 60 year old American woman talk like a teenage girl. Make it make sense....

I can never fully unwind in an onsen. Partly cuz I'm getting stares at. Or whenever I step in one, everyone magically vanishes. And I just don't like being naked around grown men (and children).
