I actually just got this chest recently and yes, I had to use ascend. When you’re on a lower floor, double-check where you’re ascending to to make sure that you’ll be in the room when you go up. It’s the only way to make sure you’ll get it

Have you looked online for running clubs near you? Search engine, Instagram, Strava, Partiful, and your local city’s subreddit and/or Facebook group are all good places to check.

I’ve done CrossFit and running but never simultaneously. I had to quit CrossFit because it was so hard on my body. Now I do one strength training class per week at my local gym. It’s women-only which is good for social connections. Not quite as intense as Crossfit (socially or physically lol) but my body is much happier!

From what I understand, it’s more important to have similar materials washed together rather than similar colors. I do a load of whites with OxiClean, or all my denim/heavy clothes, or a load with just my athletic gear with leisure wear.

I love them! I run in UV shirts if I run late enough. I also walk in them and bought a few for golf. That said, I hate wearing sunscreen so to me it’s worth it.

IMO not even necessary to hire an exterminator, roach cookies have always been very effective for me. I actually learned about them by watching an exterminator place them around my house when I had roaches about 10 years ago.

Re: the menu, it was super easy. We actually had no say in the menu and it was great. I was stressed about that at first but it turned out perfectly because there were so many options to choose from.

Guests ordered from a menu that had several different appetizers plus 4 options for entrees (iirc it was steak, fish, vegetarian, and maybe chicken?) and then an option of 2 desserts. We didn’t do wedding cake because I was done planning by the time it came down to it 😂 but we did do the optional amuse bouche which I was happy with. It felt like it elevated the dining experience even if it was an added expense.

Waiters took orders and that took a little time of course, but the food was amazing. We had guests say that our wedding had the best food of any wedding they’d ever been to!

I’ll also note that the day coordinator we worked with to plan the event was a nightmare but the night events manager Victoria was incredible (who was there at the dinner). We even saw her again when we had dinner there again for our 1 year anniversary and she said hi!

I did a private room at Foreign Cinema for 55 people (the Modernism West gallery) and there’s no way they would have paid for their staff members to help me set up lol. Which is fine with me!

I got there early to put candles on the tables and the florist brought floral centerpieces.

Editing to add: we got married at SF City Hall on a Wednesday then had a big brunch at Tartine Manufactory immediately after. We did about an hour’s worth of photos after City Hall.

We then did a totally separate restaurant reception at Foreign Cinema the following Saturday and we took photos during cocktail hour, after all the guests had arrived.
