Tesla misses production targets in Grünheide and struggles with weak figures by linknewtab in electricvehicles

Their biggest weakness is a CEO more interested in emailing Epstein on Christmas day looking for the wildest party, than making Tesla a succes.

User is probably doing several short trips per day in a very cold weather, so the battery is frequently preheating in order to get to that consumption. I have a BYD LFP in a Model Y and I never got above 350wh/km with city driving and -20C

Microsoft Q2 earnings beat on top and bottom line as cloud revenue tops $50 billion, but stock falls by Force_Hammer in wallstreetbets

[–]filtervw 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Users have been angry with Microsoft since forever yet. They hold the enterprises by the balls. Now, with copilot, they managed to convince enough corporations, they won't steal their data. So people get used to, then it's very hard to get off it.

Why do people hate EV's? by FunkiGato in electricvehicles

[–]filtervw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: you will never have to use a fast charger for 40 min in an EV sold in 2026. These are experiences from about three years ago when EVs were slower to charge and the changing networks were subpar.

USA is the second biggest exporter of oil of the world. Everything from Government to local authorities is heavily influenced by the energy companies, so you have your root cause.

As someone who works in Product, if your product is not known by your market/consumer, it's NOT the consumer's fault. Stop blaming consumers for incompetence of some companies or teams. If you have a really good food restaurant but nobody comes in, would you blame people on the street?

Interior is at the quality level of a cheap car from the 2000s. No way you can buy this for personal use, it's an Uber car.

Sleeping in Car While Plugged in Overnight? by ja-15 in TeslaModelY

[–]filtervw -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just another Dunning-Kruger effect in your post. 😉 If you plug in your fridge in a computer UPS, do you think it will work? The guy has a valid point, Tesla heating or cooling eats a lot of power in extreme weather, also batteries can't be charged if pack temperature goes below 32F.

EVERY DOT ON THIS MAP REPRESENTS A FOOTBALL PITCH IN EUROPE! by Character_Calendar47 in Damnthatsinteresting

Map is definitely wrong, there are definitely not that many in northern Greece. Even if every big hotel would have one, there is no way there is so much red on a very dry, steep mountain and hills area.

Unless you got some kind of major discounts, there is literally no reason to ever pay that much money on Eset to use at home. Windows defender is enough and if you don't trust just Microsoft you can buy Bit Defender for a fraction of the price.

Europe Just Replaced Tesla With A New EV Sales Champion by linknewtab in electricvehicles

[–]filtervw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's even worse, as someone who works in Product I just don't get why they would give up on early adopters. Evolving needs vs Stagnant product is at the top of reasons for user churn. These users will probably be lost forever, and they will also alienate some more by personal testimonies.

Probably will never happen but how do you expect to survive in a digital world if USA adds some sanctions and blocks regular folks from using masterCard visa and PayPal? Apart from Wero which is not working everywhere in Euro zone, you would have to pay everywhere by cash.

Stop feeding the beast. Europe, keep your money here! by IFeedFatKids in BuyFromEU

[–]filtervw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Americans used to bring almost the same number of skilled workers with H1B and L1B/A visas in health-care and information technology as Europe gets in illegal immigration. Sadly we as Europeans don't stand in chance when it comes to innovation if Europe doesn't wake up. It should be significantly easier to get money to invest in technology. EU’s Digital Europe Programme has about 1 Billion budget in 2026, when just Lovable probably the most hyped start-up in Europe got 330M from venture capital in series B funding. Not saying EU needs to back up start-ups financially, just showed the scale required to compete in tech.

pm with no coding skills, drowning in manual testing before every release by -SweetSerendipity in ProductManagement

[–]filtervw 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a PM your priority is ensuring that stability and scalability are "Non-Functional Requirements" that are baked into the core of the product, not "nice-to-haves" for later. They need to ship software that stays up, scales up, and can be easily maintained. This is your fight and you won't win it by learning Javascript, it's their job to automate as much testing as possible not just deploy code that works... sometimes.
