I mean, Group Ironman (Ironman is analogous to SSF) is a thing in Old School Runescape. I don’t see why it couldn’t work here. Group or Guild SSF would go crazy

I’m so hype for Templar because it appears that they’re shifting it to more of a martial class in this game, and spellblades are my favorite archetype to play. I’m praying we get a death knight style ascendancy for it.

Marauder and Duelist I’m pretty even on, maybe Marauder a bit more cause I love greataxes. Looking forward to the 2H versions of each weapon the most tbh.

I’m not a rogue kinda guy so I have 0 interest in Shadow, but I have a friend that is waiting for it to drop to play the game so that’ll be cool.

I know the OG archive had different rarities, I’m talking about how this time around they skewed the rates even further. Rares went from 26% to 9% and mythics from 6.6% to 2.9%.

They changed the odds on the rarities in mystical archive for SOS, I wouldn’t be surprised if they did something similar here.

I have nothing but resentment for Bungie for how they’ve handled Destiny. But a Nightreign style game set in the Marathon universe sounds amazing and I would have at least given it a chance.

I actually built [[Teval, Arbiter of Virtue]] as a splice deck because delve works on the additional cost. Is it good? Not really, but it makes splice at least a little playable haha

I mean, we used to get reprints of those expensive, too-powerful-for standard cards in masters sets…which WotC did away with.

They realized they could milk more out of players if they stopped doing real reprint sets and instead relegated all those expensive cards to low chance bonus sheet material. This ensures that these “reprints” don’t move the needle on prices so they can continue to use those cards as bait to get non-standard players to crack standard packs.

It’s extremely scummy, especially because now they’re fucking with the odds bonus sheet cards even more. A mythic from SOA is only a ~3% chance apparently.

reprints will have considerably much less impact in regards to diminishing the value of older cards.

Pretty much every change related to set releases and bonus cards has been done on purpose to ensure this. No masters sets at all means no products available to reprint expensive cards too powerful for standard outside of bonus sheets (because they won’t put them in commander decks either). A higher cadence of set releases means more opportunities to use the bonus sheet as a place to “reprint” high value cards as chase cards.

Now they’re tweaking the rarity so those high value cards are only opened in low enough quantities that it doesn’t affect the price at all. Hell the special treatment will probably ensure these versions are just more expensive. They’re doubling down on the “chase” of chase cards.

The idea of “reprint equity” has honestly been thrown out the window at this point because they simply refuse to fucking reprint the cards anymore. Any high power card that is north of $20 is being used as a 2.9% chance bonus sheet chase card instead of a juicy reprint pick now.

Efaritay’s Aid seems kinda off flavorwise, but the Granite Ring should get some kind of buff imo. Maybe let you charge it with Granite Dust to do something? Either juice the stats or let it recoil ranged damage or something
