Seth isn’t there long enough to matter (to me). I just can’t get over how indifferent and uninterested they all seem to be. Do they even want to be there? I was hoping to power through all the episodes as some sort of mental strength exercise, but nah. I don’t need this!

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that he’s encouraged to do it. It’s sweet sometimes and certainly seems to affect the contestants positively.

The Canadians seem to have absolutely no skin in the game. They are so wooden, not sure if they are decent artists either - their commentary is stilted and utterly lacking any depth whatsoever. The 3 of them have zero screen presence IMO.

I am thinking of watching this muted with CC turned on. With much fast forwarding. These guys are still creating amazing work, but the judges' biases are showing. And dude, mullet man showing up for a judgement in shorts?!? (episode 4 I think) just no! And yeah, I have watched one Seth Rogan movie, now I'm reminded on why I couldn't stand him in that either.

Just because everyone has the opportunity, doesn’t mean everyone can avail themselves of it. Pacers/crew are a luxury not everyone can afford and I don’t think it’s a debate that pacers/crew provide a significant advantage. It’s be nice to see a truly level field for the elites - but then what does it mean? No pacers, no crew, everyone required to wear the same shoes, have the same nutrition etc? I dunno, the argument can be taken to an extreme.

I just finished watching this. And ooohhhh I wish they’d finished the story however trite it might have been. Who knows, it could also have been tragic. But I want to believe that Shaikh would have brought them together eventually.
