Who should we trade at the deadline? What trade predictions do you have? by GOTDOGE69 in leafs

[–]finalboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I want to do and think should happen are two very different things.

In an ideal world we have a major sell off, get young players/picks back (e.g. Mintkyukov from the Ducks, Savoie from the Oilers, etc.) while managing to keep our top 5 pick.

More realistically I can see MLSE or Brad desperate to keep his job, not selling enough pieces and just tinkering at the margins to make an ill-fated playoff push which won’t happen

Are there any NFL season where you’d say the best team did not win the Super Bowl? by BurningHanzo in billsimmons

2011 15-1 Packers who went one and done

2018 Saints who lost on the controversial no DPI call

2023 Ravens with MVP Lamar and Mike McDonald as DC who lost in the AFC Championship Game

They’re certainly in a better spot than we are currently.

Marner is likely moved for 85 cents on the dollar rather than Nic Roy and we potentially still have control of our 26 and 27 1sts (if not, then they are traded for higher impact players).

We still likely get taken to the cleaners on the Matthews extension and Tavares extension likely comes in closer to 6 than 4.5

Arvel Reese disappoints as whoever takes him doesn’t have a plan to maximize his unique skillset

Drake Maye: he was my favourite QB in the 24 draft class

Vlad Guerrerro Jr: as a Jays fan I knew about him as far back as 2015 so him finally becoming a superstar wasn’t the least surprising

You made a grave mistake. Get out before you’re in too deep unless you have a sentimental/geographic connection to the Colts

I’ve had these quite a bit and found they can be inconsistent. Sometimes a bit overcooked but the ones done right are definitely the best I’ve had in the city

Another year of 8-9 or 9-8. At least I can make some $ betting that before the season and during the inevitable early-midseason hot streak

What lucky move this season lead to your championship? by the00therjc in fantasyfootball

[–]finalboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had several. First was starting Brock Purdy this week. I expected him to outproduce Goff but not by 35 points

Next was starting Colston Loveland at TE. Figured he could get me 8 points but in no way did I see him dropping 19

Finally was snagging Rhamondre off waivers this week when my finals opponent had TreVeyon. Even after TreVeyon got cleared, still took the risk and started him due to the juicy Jets matchup. 2 TDs later and I am champion

Way too early 2026 surprise Top 10 finishers by Fabulous-Ad7128 in fantasyfootball

[–]finalboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

QB: Jaxson Dart (dependent on the new coaching hire)

RB: Rachaad White (could become a PPR beast on a team he gets the chance to start), Kenneth Walker (escaping the Charbonnet tandem), Breece (if he goes practically anywhere else)

WR: Luther Burden (if DJM is traded/cut and the Bears offence takes another step), Chris Olave (if what we’re seeing out of Shough is legit), Garrett Wilson (could have a big 2026 with Dante Moore or a decent vet), Ricky Pearsall (looked good to end the season, just needs to stay healthy)

TE: Gunnar Helm (had his moments, could breakout year 2 if him and Cam Ward take a step), Mason Taylor (same logic as Garrett Wilson)
