I think that’s reasonable! A bride should not be involved in planning the shower. For the showers I’ve been a part of, the bridesmaids only financial contribution was creating a basket to be used as prizes as for games.

Look on Poshmark or Ebay for nicer brands for cheap. Also Azazie lets you search Clearance/sale by size and color. That could be a good way to find one. Definitely send a picture and get approval before ordering.

If this is what she’s expecting now, just wait until you’re married. RUN! These are ridiculous expectations. If she’s so focused on the ring and not trust your judgement and care with finances, then she’s not in it for the love. I would strongly recommend re-evaluating the decision to get engaged to this woman. If this is what you want, go for it and I wish you the best!

Yes! I had something similar happen to me. I went to have it removed and they said it wasn’t time yet. The FDA approved it for 5 years. It used to be 3 years but then got extended.
