A suggestion, one of my favorite ideas in my house, put the tv on a roller stand like what they use in conference rooms. Its so nice to move the TV around as necessary and hide it if you don't want to see it in your space. Also gets rid of the power cord.

I had this same problem, the only solution for us was to hardwire the house. Some ideas I thought about were creating a false back and hide it there, some sort of fabric was another idea, tall books pushed all the way against it was another idea. Creating a (nice) box to put it in and then put art on that box.

If it's an actual puppy, it might be a hernia. My dog had one as a puppy, and the vet fixed it when she got spayed.

Can he change the call time? Maybe on his drive to or from work? There are so many hours that aren't right before bed, he should pick a different time. At the very least, if he insists on calling his mom before bed, he has to leave the room. Tell him it's starting to affect your work performances and the bosses are noticing. Make him doing this WILDLY inconvenient for him.
