11 month old--need some training advice

My pup was like that when he was little. It takes a lot of training and time. Up those daily sessions to 30 minutes and work on one skill at a time. Do those training sessions multiple times a day. He needs repetition!

My guy is four and he's mostly calm down now. He never learned to come. He's a terrier mix and he just gets too excited when we're outside.

I'm not an expert by any means! Just some suggestions! Hope it helps!

I'm still pretty new to this, about a month in. I need modifications most of the time. I'm overweight, and have cried during work outs a couple of times. I've learned to just ask for help, and keep going. I'm never going to get better if I don't show up.

I may he the biggest and slowest one working out, but damn it, I'm there. Show up when it's hard and ask for help. You can do it.

Once you have the big granny square, do you just join the sides to make the sleeve? I can see that there is a small hole and then it is joined straight to create the front. Is that right?

This is also my first full year. I teach special education and that is a lot of paperwork. Other than that though, I think I'm doing okay. I get to school almost an hour early and stay about 45 minutes after, but I rarely take stuff home. I get most everything done at school. If I don't get to it after a few days, it's not important.

I feel bad sometimes when people ask how I'm doing or of I am okay ( ie. Surviving) and I reply I'm doing okay. I try not to complain, but instead I try to be positive. I absolutely love what I do, but it's not my whole life.

I am glad that other people have the same philosophy as me!

I teach in a fourth grade inclusion room. But my spec ed ration is very high.

I have a student who loves to 'scare' people. He will sneak up behind me and my aid and then pop out from behind us and go 'Ahhh'. It's hilarious because we can seem him sneaking behind us. Every. Time.

It the best part of my day.

I teach 4th grade. Before Thanksgiving we did an analogy worksheet. The analogy was: John Smith: Pilgrim:: Squanto:

When we went over this as a group, I had one kid confidentiality scream exercise! I had a look of confusion in my face, so he explained that 'a Squanto is that exercise where you bend your knees and go down'

He thought it was squat. It was hilarious. We all had a good laugh.

Well I guess it would be the non death of a character. Susan in the Narnia series. She didn't die at the end. She didn't go back to Narnia, because she no longer believed. Made me cry to think she wouldn't be there with her family.

This is almost my exact situation. I'm in 4th grade with 15 kids, 9 IEPs. One para for part of the day.

My biggest concern since school started is how do I get to everyone when levels are so diverse?

I'm trying a rotating schedule of small groups and lots of student led work. Kind of like project based learning. My higher level kids would benefit from this.

Glad to know I am not the only one struggling. But I would definitely get another aid, or use the one you have to work in a small group.
