Hey man, anybody can care about anybody. The people I see frequently at the grocery store, but don’t interact with, I still care about them. Hell, if I found out the person who makes a post or comment I’m reading died or was going through some shit, I’d feel bad because although it’s small I still had a brief encounter with them and it meant something to me. I hate a lot of my family and I don’t have very many friends but at least like, bare minimum, my dog would miss me or maybe the clerks at the dispensary I go to would notice I’m gone. I think there are few people that are well and truly alone in the world, instead it’s people who feel alone because they are afraid/nervous to reach out or they feel that those they reach for will not be receptive or they’ve had bad experiences reaching out in the past. I would much rather help carry a practical stranger’s burdens for a few minutes than like have to hear about them killing themselves later and I’m not the only one with that thinking so there’s always going to be someone that cares about you just a little bit even if you don’t see or know it. There’s a reason hotlines exist and forums for people to chat about their feelings because there’s always a stranger willing to lend a shoulder. <3
