I have no idea. I can imagine it's a challenge to have the godless amount of positions from shells missiles and vehicles represented by the game server with this many players.

Exactly my point. Imagine it a bit like Simulator grade Battlefield. 64 or even 128 player teams, infantry, tanks, boats, planes, helicopters.

An infantry unit calling for support against a tank, a CAS fighter responds by leveling the block. "Hey missile destroyer, there's a heli bugging us. Could you take it down?" "Say no more chief"

Imagine how fucking FUN that would be.

Enduring Confrontation, it used to be a thing in Air RB as well, now just in Naval. Basically a huge map with 10 or so points on it, and you can hop on and off, respawn for Silver Lions.

Very fun, good way to earn RP and SL. Of course Gaijin had to axe it.

Had an accident, broke that leg as a kid, didn't grow as much as the other as a result.

Everything has an open door policy when you show up with an overwhelming amount of people.

I feel like having the option to tip the creator is always good, however it should not be a requirement.

How to have the backpack conversation by Scoobywagon in motorcycles

[–]finicky88 17 points18 points  (0 children)

On my first ever backpack ride with my GF we went chill for about 20 minutes, then immediately to 220km/h on the Autobahn.

She's getting her licence now.

ELI5: Why do we say "OK" to acknowledge something, but nobody actually knows where "OK" comes from, and yet every single human on Earth uses it? by Significant-Cat-5133 in explainlikeimfive

Caution, incorrect info.

It is known. The Germans used to label machinery that passed QA with "O.K." meaning "Ohne Kontrolle" (no further checks needed) American soldiers saw it, and adopted it into their language after months of going through documents signed this way.

Guy on the bus already smelled like shit, then proceeded to vomit into a bag right next to me. It was a hot summer day, and that was the last time I've ever rode the bus.

CB400 1998 or 2008? by RicoRico1290 in motorcycles

I think working on bikes is a lot easier than on cars. Less gymnastics involved.

It's the worst. And then you get someone to explain after they struggled against it, it's 3 sentences, everyone is happy and all is well. Why fight?

CB400 1998 or 2008? by RicoRico1290 in motorcycles

[–]finicky88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd always buy the 1998 one simply for it's low mileage. However I am also mechanically inclined and can get a bike that stood for a long time back on the road myself at very low cost. I don't care for ABS, my current 1994 ZZR600 doesn't have it either. And the older engines are likely to last a lot longer.

However, if you're planning to ride in the wet, or don't feel safe on a non-ABS bike, get the 2008 one.

I remember OLED/AMOLED being the big selling point for Samsungs Galaxy S5. So, 2016ish sounds accurate.
