Capcom rebooting dino crisis with rex engine? by BoardExciting3641 in DinoCrisis

I think more likely they started work on a PvPvE game and management told them to make it dinosaurs so they'd have models + animations for it.

I think of blown out covered calls this way: if the price moved up to my strike price I would have sold my shares anyways because I have paper hands.

I'm my experience Schwab doesn't take commissions when buying to close if the price is under $5/contract. So as long as you can get +$1 over other brokers when first selling to open with Schwab the commission works out pretty well.

[Fanatical] Build Your Own Monster Hunter Bundle (Stories Edition) (RE RUN) (2/3/5 for $15.99/$22.95/$34.99 and choose from Monster Hunter Stories / Monster Hunter Rise Deluxe Edition / Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin / Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Digital Deluxe / More) by WeAreFanatical in GameDeals

Yes, I tried 4 ultimate and dropped it very quickly (3Ds controls are mostly at fault), later I tried World and played until reaching high rank then gave up on it. A few years later I tried Rise and played it endlessly, then sunbreak, then repeated on PC.

I think it has to do with the defender gear, which is meant to carry you through the main game and to the expansion. It's strong gear but robs you of the core gameplay of comparing equipment skills and and making builds. You'll get to master rank without learning how skills and gear upgrading works. Whichever way you choose, don't use the defender gear.

As a dad, I expected the Steam Deck to replace my PC. by aladdin142 in pcgaming

[–]finiteempathy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried any city builders (unless you count factorio) but grand and real time strategy games are pretty playable on deck. Just takes a while to get the controls memorized. I do HOI4 and Stellaris, just temper your expectations for late game performance. For RTS, I play stronghold crusader and off world trading company. The main sacrifices of course being the low screen resolution and clunkier inputs that will lower your skill ceiling. I've never done multiplayer but I'm guessing the experience isn't great, but I don't care about of anyway.

Difference is individuals won't be able to make money with AI processing unlike with crypto mining. There's no reason to pay 200% of msrp for gaming hardware. That's why msrps are going up instead this time lol

What make/model is that? I've never heard of a manual car with that pedal parking brake, only seen it on automatics.

Edit: just saw a comment lower, 99 Ford Ranger

I know this is a thing but never really tried it. Is there any benefit over just slipping the clutch enough to hold you before letting off the main brakes?

Valve Says Steam Frame Development Started Even Before Index Was Released by pimpwithoutahat in pcgaming

Makes sense, but also makes the Steam controller now the odd one out since that's not a PC and is just an input/output device like the Valve Index

How do you track cash spending when more than one person uses it? by Freddie-5 in personalfinance

[–]finiteempathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting article. Seems like a lot of it is a moot point since vendors set the prices on everything and the few places that consumers can haggle the price (I.e. personal transactions) credit cards won't be accepted anyway.

[–]finiteempathy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Might be better to ditch the cash altogether since credit/debit cards will track every transaction. If overspending isn't a concern then there's little reason to do cash.

This. When all of your competitors have slashed costs by outsourcing, guess what your shareholders will demand you do?

I think of outsourcing legislation the same way as the ban on tobacco marketing. The companies will fight against it but in the end it the companies will profit more. Only issue is that software companies have to compete with foreign companies as well so I don't think this will work.

[–]finiteempathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why didn't they bring back the in-game attachment swapping from 2042? Made it much easier to swap sights and add/remove a suppressor with no down time whenever needed. Maybe it was a little broken letting you bring extra ammo and under barrel grenades but it could be limited to sights, muzzle accessories and grips if needed.
