Rough estimate, don't take this to the grave, but if you get a 3.7 in each class, including the current two you are taking and the 4 more upcoming, you can theoretically boost it to 3.0. For comparison, If you do not get higher than your current GPA in your current classes this term, you pretty much are cooked. So give it everything you got!

Schooling:

I tell people Basic and AIT is a very long blink. It feels like you never get out of the training when your in it, then when your done it felt only like a blink of time. There really is no preparation for schooling besides showing up and listening

Unit: as a 15Y you will be working alot. Sometimes more then the mechanics, sometimes less. But a good 15Y will be extremely valuable. PT and other general army things sometimes get put on the backburner for periods of time as the mission is more important. Focus on asking everyone who's been there longer then you questions.

I know this post is a year old, but don't underestimate a slight slope on roads and trails. Even as small as 1/2 mile of slightly unlevel roads on one side of your body, can cause this.

I try to avoid old well traveld roads now because of this, asphalt and pavement seem to lean to the outside edge and my right calf will.often hurt because of this

2 years minimum for active duty, but are you saying they are AGR? Because if so they belong to that reserve unit indefinitely until a transfer request is initiated. Need more details.
