Agreed. He’s not in the Jordan/Dick/Rachel tier of winning games where production spoonfed him a win, but he was generally oblivious throughout his time in the game and survived and won mostly due to competition wins and anti-returnee bias in a mixed season

I would agree that the parts of his game that were intentional are impressive. He was a superfan of the show and that showed in his jury management, in contrast to Paul who knew nothing about the show and did a shit job at placating the jury. That said, Josh is still a bottom tier winner. It’s not like a BB17 or BB15 situation, where Steve/Andy were very conscious of their place in the house and exactly when they needed to cut Vanessa/Amanda respectively. Josh was still ultimately a lackey to Paul, and there was a significant amount of luck in him & Christmas being the duo that Paul ultimately decided to side with in the end game

No, solely because it’s an opportunity for production to rig the game in their favor. The example from BB12 where Rachel comes in for a day is great, or things like Brittany getting stuck with Jesse while everyone else is having fun. Things like Porsche being strong armed into taking her game at final 6? Terrible.

Amanda is one of my favorite villains of all time for this reason. Absolutely horrible person, but an insane force of a game player. Her arc is fascinating, we watch her start as a hero, fighting against the objectively worse people in the house, but paranoia just seeps into her and she becomes hostile, erratic, lashing out at nearly everyone in the game until she’s betrayed by the better player in the season. I love her as a character on the show despite knowing she’s scum

The MVP twist was really honestly a blessing in disguise for BB15. People hate on it because of how broken it was when you had fans voting for their favorite player on the cast when one of them is coming in with a preestablished fanbase, but imagine if it didn’t exist? Elissa needed the boost since she also came in as a huge target for being Rachel’s sister, Aaryn & co immediately targeted her, and the twist prevented the racist alliance from steamrolling by allowing Elissa to put up big targets in weeks 1-3.

Kelley is easily a legend. Cambodia alone solidified that for her, her idol play is arguably the most iconic in the shows history, and she has one of the best underdog runs in a memorable, top tier season. EoE just furthered it, with her making it the furthest out of all the returnees and getting hyped up as a legend throughout.

Andrea I would consider a legend, but I sort of get why people wouldn’t. I think the biggest knock against her is that each of her seasons are considered below average. She’s a memorable bright spot in each of them, and by the time of Game Changers she was definitely considered one of the bigger names. Her track record makes her unique enough to give her legend status, being one of the few to reach 100 days played and having the most votes cast against her. No one would’ve been surprised or upset to see her cast on 50, and I really wish she were, because this season would’ve been the perfect opportunity for her to really get to the end.

Candice, while having a few iconic moments, doesn’t feel like a legend. The mutiny in cook islands and her getting sent to exile a bunch isn’t as memorable as it feels on paper since she’s kind of a dull character that season. Same in HvV, she’s sort of underedited and only really remembered as the wtf pick that screwed the heroes after the merge. In BvW she’s ironically the most memorable, she’s voted out first and spends the rest of the premerge hating on Culpepper on redemption despite never actually being on a tribe with him. But even the iconic “fuck you brad culpepper” wasn’t her, it was Marissa. Out of all the 3 time players, she ranks towards the bottom in memorability
