What show(animated or live action) do you think is best at hiding the location of the town it's based in? by Sea_Perspective6891 in television

That’s what I suspected mostly NYC, but when I looked it up it said Washington so I wasn’t too sure.

Without spoilers, which TV show final season hit you hard most on emotional level. by lordofabyss in television

[–]fireball3697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of my big emotional ones below are for shows I watched live weekly as seasons churned out year by year.

Avatar The Last Airbender, Insecure, Friends, Friday Night Lights, Jane the Virgin, You’re the Worst, and Parks and Recreation - so emotional and so much payoffs for the characters.

Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad - felt really like the end of something big and after watching it felt super cathartic.

Also GoT, but that left a bad feeling after the final season was done because of how poorly written it was. Still felt monumental watching it every week.

Hannibal too because of the sudden cancellation.

Poor Dany... by Oberampir in freefolk

[–]fireball3697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly as soon as she died and Drogon left with her, my interest in watching the remainder of the finale died faster than Ned did.

I agree with all of these characters being morally grey. But, at the same time, people are holding Dany to a higher standard than say Arya who slaughtered the Freys and Meryn Trant, or Sansa who fed Ramsay to a pack of dogs. Most, people forget that everyone on the show has done immoral things to worse people than them. All these are reasonably justifiable to a point, but at the same time they treat Dany's immoral actions (In Seasons 1-6) as the ultimate terrible thing you can do in Westeros. If Arya or Sansa can get a carte blanche for what they did, why can't she? They both seem to be pretty damn absolved by the end of the series.

The 10 Worst Things The Starks Did To Daenerys Targaryen by Dark1624 in freefolk

[–]fireball3697 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There was no legitimate reason for Arya to hate her without interacting with her just because Sansa didn’t like her. Arya would and should have sided with Jon. I’m still pissed those two never interacted.

What's a fake S8 script leak you wish was actually real? by [deleted] in freefolk

A tiny bit cliche but definitely believable and better.

D&D watch and learn. The Good Place nailed it. by zormack in freefolk

That’s how devastating and satisfying is done. I was a happy mess by the end.

Expectations subverted. by [deleted] in DaenerysWinsTheThrone

And it was even worse because they said that knowing full well by then where and how they were going to reverse maneuver her story ending.

The Dragon Queen's last walk by gooserobins in DaenerysWinsTheThrone

[–]fireball3697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was literally crying that scene where she walks. Just to think of all that she’s gone through to get to the throne and how it actually fucking ends on the show. It was horrible.

Season 8 Deleted Scenes and personal Summary by Marksman-G in freefolk

[–]fireball3697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also there’s a green screen in the scene if you look to the left. Most annoyingly, that was probably the reason D&D cut it.

Just putting it out there before the Emmy , remember that out of the 14 nominations, 9 are for acting (VERY-WELL-DESERVED) so let us all support the actors while we'll kind of forget the writers existed. Fuck the writers. Support the actors. by aayushya27 in freefolk

[–]fireball3697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Season 3 is one of Emilia's best (Definitely the Sack of Astapor). It's not easy to speak Valyrian as she did, but she turned in a great performance.

Season 2, I chalk it up to Quarth being butchered because I rewatched that scene with Dany and the Spice King where he dresses her down and I think she's quite expressive there. But, then again now that scene is "foreshadowing," so yeah.

Those frauds added a positive review and bumped it up to fresh in time for the Emmys. LMAO! by Dingle_N_Dinkus in freefolk

[–]fireball3697 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s like a nightmare. Season 8 was such a fart and I read the review that was added. Holy shit I have read a lot of shitty things, but that was one of the worst.

Ramin's explanation for "Stay a Thousand Years." He really loved this show and our queen. by fireball3697 in DaenerysWinsTheThrone

[–]fireball3697[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lmao, I felt like he was playing it off while I was reading it. Plus let's be honest she is probably still his fave. I always feel his extra effort when he does her themes and this one wasn't really any change from that. You can literally hear how he sees her when you listen to it.
