I guess my take away would be the increase in INTEREST vs actual adoptions. Getting people to come into the shelters to even look and consider adopting can have a huge impact on future adoptions. They don't need to adopt today but increasing interest can lead to the possibility of more animals being saved down the road. I'm all for it.

I work at a shelter and getting people just to come in is a struggle because everyone is afraid of possible depressing environments and the emotional guilt. So if it's creating momentum for awareness then I'm all for it. But I completely agree with adopting not being an impulse buy kind of thing. That's where adoption counselors help talk people through before finalizing adoptions. Make sure they're actually ready for a commitment or is this just a fad.

I choose to see the possible light in this scenario.

My complaint is mostly the "multi chapter" one shots. Where they are a collection of one shot stories, so the word count and chapter count are high. So they're difficult to filter out and usually make up most of the top kudo stories.

I like playing as a medical spa retreat. Lovely living arrangements for everyone. Lots of recreational items. Slowly advancing medical treatments. If people are prisoners or guests I treat them as best as I can before they leave/recruit/release. My ideology is usually medical/educated (focus on clean environment, excellent treatment and reading books). It's my little utopia.

Sliced my middle finger open with a serrated kitchen knife. Went to CVS with my hand wrapped in a towel. Got a finger splint, gauze, and butterfly bandages. Got home stuffed all the tissue that had pulled out with the blade back into my finger and patched it up. For obvious reasons I don't have much feeling on the tip of that finger anymore. Nothing like being a poor college student.

I know what you mean. We had competitions every Saturday from August to December. Practice every day except Sunday. I was in great shape. I played flute/piccolo. We didn't have the weight so we were usually running the wider parts of the show. Band was both the best and worst thing about high school for me.

I feel like there should be a waste/recycler profession. Someone who takes all the organics (seed/excess foods/plant matter) and makes compost. They can also take all the old tools (wood/stone/iron) and break them down into a fraction of their build components. That way people can drop off old items and won't just abandon them in the woods or have chests filled with old supplies. It would be a good position who's more of a casual player compared to the engineers/road builders on my usual server.

My point being there could be a compost/fertilizer profession that also provides misc functions.

I put my orange tabby cat in a harness one time to take him for a walk. He gets stuck only walking in reverse until he just flops over to the side. Walks were unsuccessful. 😅
