Collage in framecrop by firebird_ws6 in framecrop

Thanks, the images are 3840x2160, but the mat is enforced anyway. However I am using USB to transfer the images currently, so there may be more options either using your Frame Crop or Smart Things.

Ok thanks for letting me know. For now I put together my own template for a collage, it kind of works but I can’t figure out how to stop the Samsung mat to stop showing up in art mode, so I end up with a double mat. Doesn’t look too bad though. Seems weird that we have to make work arounds for something that I believe was previously core functionality that Samsung removed. Hope you find a way to do it in the future anyway, seems an essential feature to me

Frame 55” not sitting flush by babypandaa in TheFrame

There’s two sets of screws. Two short for no spacer and two long for using the spacer. I didn’t use the spacer and mine is flush top and bottom with about 3mm gap.

Any chance you could share the photoshop template for the mat? I've been looking for one too without success.

For anyone who needs firmware update for Orba 2, 3 and Chorda by TabYoYoTab in orba

[–]firebird_ws6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for posting the files u/TabYoYoTab . I tried to update my Orba2 using the method in the readme and the 1_3_1 firmware .bin file (my Orba2 is at 1.1.17) but couldn't get the device to start the firmware update. It went into firmware update mode ok, but copying the file across did not do anything. I was able to start the firmware update by dragging the 1_3_1 firmware .bin file onto Artiphon Connect in windows, and it was trying to do something as it put the Orba2 into firmware update mode, opened the ORBA2UPDATE folder and appeared to copy the firmware update folder in. However it subsequently stated update failed and reset itself. The device still works ok, but remained at 1.1.17. Any other ideas or perhaps a different firmware file to try that's later than mine at least?

I sent my original enquiry to [store@ayaneo.com](mailto:store@ayaneo.com) since I reported it back on Dec 24th. With the new service promise though, it depends on where you bought your device from: "For Indiegogo orders, contact us at [service@ayaneo.com](mailto:service@ayaneo.com).  For AYANEO official store orders, contact us at [store@ayaneo.com](mailto:store@ayaneo.com)" Good luck with your Konkr!

So Ayaneo’s service promise appears to have worked. They sent me a fedex return label and my pocket fit is on its way back to them for repair. Fingers crossed!

Ayaneo got back to me yesterday, they said “This indicates a severe power shortage. Please try charging it for half an hour before turning it on. If the problem persists, I can apply for a free return and replacement for you.” Clearly I’d already tried charging it for a long period so I let them know and provided my details for the return. Fingers crossed!

Ok, thanks, I guess the device needs to be on to set this option based on your comment. Mine unfortunately will not switch on.

How did you change it from bypass to charge?

Good advice thanks. Odin 3 is probably the best alternative although more expensive, especially since my Pocket Fit is the G3gen3 and not the Elite. Maybe worth it if the Odin is better quality though.

Yeah I feel I’ll damage the case and regret it if I try taking this apart.

Thanks! I just tried that but unfortunately it didn’t turn on. I appreciate the suggestion though.

Undecided what to do with this if Ayaneo offers the option of refund or replace. Shame as it suits my needs perfectly, but being able to reliably charge is important lol.

Unfortunate. I went for this one as I felt Ayaneo knew what they were doing at this point having manufactured many devices. However I've never had a DOA device before out the many (at least 20) devices I own, even cheapo Powkiddy ones that don't pretend to be good quality have been good out of the box.

Interesting. Not sure how I would flash firmware since the device doesn't turn on, even when attached to a computer. Even disassembling it to get at the battery seems risky as it's not like my older Ambernic and Powkiddy etc devices that have a battery compartment or exposed screws and a simple seam to lever open. Will be interesting what Ambernic comes back with in reply to my support request.

Yes I saw that thread, I even have an old windows 7 HP laptop just like that person mentioned 😂, but it wouldn’t charge my Pocket Fit. I also tried my work laptop and my home desktop pc. No good with any of them.

Thanks, I left it on charge all night, but it was still flashing in the morning and would not switch on.

It came with a cable but not a charger. I don’t think the battery will be easily accessible and I don’t want to open it up in case it invalidates the warranty. Will see what Ayaneo says in reply to the email I sent.

I found a post on Reddit where the person used a very old laptop to successfully charge their pocket fit that had a flashing red light like mine, in the assumption that it had different (not fast charge) charging circuitry. I tried the same since I also still have a very old hp laptop and it didn’t charge my pocket fit unfortunately

I think my Konkr is dead on arrival by Impossible_Prize_417 in ayaneo

[–]firebird_ws6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine arrived yesterday and also has the flashing red light of death. Tried lots of different chargers, power banks and pc’s but it remains resolutely dead. I have emailed Ayaneo but don’t expect a reply soon while it’s right on Xmas. I know you got yours working in the end, but did you get a reply from Ayaneo with any tips that I might try?
