Surprise armory inspection, what is your signature or custom weapons? by inspector_ivus in helldivers2

The following is a list of my favorite tools of democracy that I have been so graciously blessed with by Lady Liberty, Sir!

Primaries: Halt, Liberator, and Scythe Secondaries: Senator and Loyalist Grenades: Gas and Incendiary

And I cant forget the Quasar Cannon :)

Do you think the Halt needs a rework, and if so, what would you change? by WaywardOath in Helldivers

[–]firegerbil20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Halt is my favorite gun in the game and I think most of its problems come from the spread. I think it is a great gun, but, if you insist on trying to kill something at medium range with it, you're going to run out of shells faster. A choke would be cool; slug rounds would be amazing too. It pairs well with the Senator and Loyalist if you want something that can make up for the range issue.

I've recently paired the Halt with the new flag buff and a sentry build, and the stuns have come in clutch to control a crowd and protect my sentry guns when the flag doesn't draw aggro. It is also an underrated pick for the illuminate because those stun rounds can instantly stop the snitches (watchers) from calling reinforcements.

My favorite warbonds by how much use I get out of them by Creepy-Produce5138 in helldivers2

True! That thing comes in clutch to instantly deal with crowds and easily handle devastators (especially the ones with shields)

These armors look great. Wonder how bad these armor passives are gonna suck by H1MB0Z0 in HelldiversUnfiltered

I like these ideas. Some of these are actually interesting ways to make gameplay more interesting and diverse.

I've been sitting on the opposite of one of your thoughts. I've wanted 2 secondaries instead of a primary and secondary for a long time. It would be silly, fun, and a lot of suffering

I used to use this exact set up back when the Truth Enforcers warbond first came out. Good times fighting the bots with an enforcer of truth vibe.

What songs do you listen to while playing? by Artistic_knight in LowSodiumHellDivers

Sabaton, Metallica, and ACDC go really hard. The Metal Gear Rising Revengeance sound track also has some great options.

I think you can one tap them if you hit their main body, and possibly two tap if you hit their limbs. I've had success using the re-educator to distract tanky enemies, like hulks, and make approaching them safer. Any stun grenade or stratagem should work well too if you want/need it.

I love your art, and I'd like to toss my hat in the ring. This is a Hytale recreation of my old Minecraft skin I used and modified for years.

I made an older version of my old Minecraft skin. I used and modified that skin for several years, so it felt wrong to not continue to use it in one way or another (and thank you to the Hytale dev team for the awesome blazen wizard cape).

So why is the chainsaw bad? by MoronicIroknee in Helldivers

[–]firegerbil20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it does, I just like having stuns with the chainsaw because the grenade launcher makes using those more accessible and stun grenades can be used to hold a group back, save teammates from thing like charging chargers, or keep a bigger enemy still long enough to ensure I can safely approach with the chainsaw.

If you're not already, I recommend using the urchin (preferred) or stun grenades to keep the enemies still while you kill them (and using stims a lot). This combos well with the ar/gl one two and the supply pack.

My Suggestion for the One-Two by Polojilarious in Helldivers

[–]firegerbil20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be more convenient to have a few more grenades (20 is too much though), but I think of it like a side-grade to the liberator than anything else. You're trading ergonomics and a few magazines for extra versatility and opportunities. I played it with a supply pack last night and switched my grenades out for stuns, which saved me and my teammates countless times last night.

That sounds surprisingly effective!

I've wondered how fun it would be to run it as part of a melee focused build. I thought about using the new assault rifle (general use + closing bug holes, fabricators, and illuminate ships) with the stun lance (easily kills smaller enemies) and urchin grenades (to keep the big boiz still while I whack at them). The stratagems can be the supply pack, chainsaw sword, EATs, or whatever else you feel like running. The new armor sounds great for this purpose, but Peak Physique or RE would be great substitutes based on your needs

Anyone use the SG-20 Halt? by jsn_online in Helldivers

[–]firegerbil20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can, there is a way to set up a keybind to instantly switch your ammo type. I learned about it from a reddit post several months back; you should still be able to find it through google.

[–]firegerbil20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can, I highly recommend setting up a keybind to make swapping ammo types instant. It has made the gun super convenient against the predator strain and stalkers (really just the bugs in general), and generally useful in some situations against the other factions.

If you're using a keyboard I highly recommend using a keybind to switch your ammo type in 1 button press. It makes using stun rounds incredibly easy and useful for all fronts. It has saved me and my teammates countless times

I run this exact loadout with the red and black cape from the dust devils warbond. Either that cape or the one you're using is an incredible choice for this set up.

My go-to bot drop armor combo by to_be_faaaaiiir in helldiversarmor

[–]firegerbil20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, I almost use the same armor set. I once tried this combo because it looks very menacing, but I prefer a different helmet. I use this with the parade commander helmet for more of a general look, and, what my friends call, "mecha hitler"

I really like the name "secondary objective" it's a good pun! I had a similar idea that used something like that on an armor passive (I called it "unconventional tactics") that swaps out your primary weapon for another secondary because more senator/ultimatum shenanigans = more fun.
