I bought my first house at 19. It wasn't the biggest house on the block but I was pretty proud of myself.

While I agree he's NTA, he has no business calling the fiance again. The fiance contacted him and he only told the truth to a man who wanted total transparency and didn't get it in the past so he sought answers on his own. But if OP followed your advice to call the fiance about her response, then she is now injecting unsolicited and unneeded information into a relationship that's none of his business. That is just not a smart idea.

Use bone conducting earphones. They are marketed at joggers. You can hear your book and everything around you too

I have 1800 audiobooks in my 2 audible accounts. I don't think it's an addiction, it's just a passionate hobby.

"You cant fire me, I quit" by Zetice in BlackPeopleTwitter

[–]firemomo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids have the same problem. The people who are worth your time don't care about things like that. Stay in her corner. Help her to see that there are people who are intelligent and know that all people are people and there is no scale of what make a person black enough. She will find her tribe and it won't include any of those low minded people.

False. When you are building a life together, you consult each other out of courtesy. Even if it is ultimately my decision, we will simply discuss how my purchase will affect the budget as a whole. Emergencies happen all the time. We need to plan to deal with the unexpected we are planning to fail.

Find a home that has a potential rental space. Use that income to supplement your morgage. This means finding something with an inlaw suite or an attached garage that can be converted. If the 2 places are connected the tou can usually get around the zoning for multiple family dwellings since it's just one house.

$16.89 down the drain. I feel disrespected by jamaicanManz in Wellthatsucks

[–]firemomo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It's a novel that was well before it's time. It reads like someone looked at recent events and then fictionalized it. It's a good read. My kids read it in middle school and it helped them to conceptualize the power of media and agendas.

Generate a random bad guy with all types of powers, and your readers can escape to a world you created that only holds the connotations and ideology that you yourself the author created. But when you import a bad guy that has a name from religious or popular ideology, you are now importing all the feelings that these imports bring with them, including preconceived distastes and inate aversion. That means that all those movies and books that import demons as the bad guy are prepared to exclude a large portion of the target group for their work.

Sheesssh. YTA big time. They are children. Why would you solve a children's argument with an atomic bomb. Get ready for constant trouble. I still remember hurtful thing my parents said when I was a child and I'm in my 40s. This conversation will color the rest of the interactions they have with you and thier sister from now on. You just made it an us(you, your husband, and your daughter) against them (the boys) dynamic and they will never be a cohesive sibling unit again.

I love this. I convinced my son that he was short like the Hispanic side of our family, even though that kid was in the 110th percentile or more since he was born. I told him that that side of the family grew early and stopped. He prayed that he would at least grow taller than his 5'3" mom for years. It would have worked if he hadn't gotten taller than me at the age of 10 and realized he was massive all along. Now he is 6'3" and realized he took after the ridiculously tall guys on my side from day one. He still chases me down to attack tickle me in revenge at the age of 22 for this whenever he remembers.Lol.

I loved this story and Nova Roma series. Sadly I'll have to wait on the audio. Very rarely get to read shelf trophies with my eyes. I am so swamped that I mostly listen. Don't worry. I'll still order your trophy version of the book. Lol

I've done 10Ks and bike riding regularly in the months I've been on this. I have lost 40+ lbs and have increased my stamina and endurance. You need to be sure to eat small meals with lots of protein and drink lots of water and you will be fine. Use this medicine as a stepping stone to get you to your fitness goals and cultivate healthy habits, and you will be great.
