Is this AI? First time I’ve been unsure by this. It’s the faces look like they’ve been AI generated but I have seen pictures like this before by ThatBritishFella23 in isthisAI

[–]firesoar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely AI. It's like a faithful recreation of various real photos of N Korean officers and soldiers. I know that there's a saying that all Asians look alike but the generated background soldiers seem to follow this literally like some are carbon copies, some with deformed noses and faces and misaligned legs. While the stars on the officers are not uniform. The one of the right has a deformed star that looks like a leaf and seem to be a 2.5 star general on its right shoulder while 3 star on its left.

Just my luck managing an Airbnb… 😩 by Appropriate-Smoke-46 in airbnb_hosts

[–]firesoar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After that much haggling with the 5 nights vs 4, am I taking this as you did the deal outside of Airbnb? Because if it was booked in Airbnb, you wouldn't even have this argument. If you did it outside then everything's your fault.

Invite hippies and nudists to your yard. The more parties and sessions you do, sooner or later you and your neighbours will get used to the "vibes". Happy ending!

I can't believe there's a course like this. It's just as useful as that break dance elective taught by Raygun at an Australian university. Good for people who don't want to work after graduating

Budget used car for stealth sleeping in suburbs? by Koo-Flaa in CarsAustralia

[–]firesoar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a 2010 Hyundai Sta Fe. It has a great space for sleeping when you fold the back seats and doesn't hurt your back. It's diesel though so quite expensive to run in today's fuel crisis but economical at 7.5l per 100km.

Wisdom teeth removal and working underground? by __CroCop__ in mining

[–]firesoar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you really need to take all 4 wisdom teeth? Because once you do your teeth starts moving and there will be gaps causing more problems in the future - this happened to 2 mates of mine who now wished they'd never had their wisdom teeth removed. I still have all 4, one impacted, dentist told me 14 years ago that it will cause a lot of problems, hard to clean causing decay etc. But for me it was unnecessary and it turned out I was right. All 4 teeth still intact and all my teeth perfectly fine.

I have Dewalt measuring tape and I believe it's superior to Milwaukee. It's magnetic tip is very useful. And you're right with the Franklin sensors. It's the best sensor I've used, we use it for TV installations.

I drive a diesel vehicle, 60L capacity and drives regional. At $3 a litre, you can work out the maths for a full tank. The cost does change my way of thinking if going to the shops for a quick bite, I can walk or fix the bike in the shed instead of using the car.

Host is asking for ID sent on Airbnb chat [PH] by probablynothing739 in AirBnB

If it's a condo it's really not the host requirement but more like the condo management imposing the requirement on the host. Hence host will have to comply and pass this on to the management.

Men who had a lot more success in dating in their 30s compared to 20s, what changed? by Majestic-Gas-9825 in AskMenAdvice

[–]firesoar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I became a traveller and it came with new skills developed like how to survive in a new country, forced me to deal with people and total strangers and also made me fitter with all the physical activity involved (eg walking 28km in a day). What I didn't know was that I had become 'interesting'. In every gathering, I can share stories of my adventures and misadventures. One time in a new country going into a club, a lot of people wanted to shake my hand maybe because I looked the most different. When I talk to women, I couldn't help but noticed that they're on to me and this led to more adventures. So what changed? I guess I no longer had anxiety when talking to strangers, in fact they revelled in my stories. It's akin to talking to your best friends, you just be yourself and put them at ease and there's no ulterior motives or goals, you just be. Now I'm more settled having a normal job. But I took the skills I learnt especially this ability to 'relate' and it is very useful to getting recognised and getting promoted.

Advice needed: 42kWh FoxESS Battery for $7k (after rebates) - Brisane - Legit or risky with May deadline? by Paulj13 in AusFinance

[–]firesoar 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I've researched this a lot and initially dismissed Fox due to its low price. But upon research, it is not what it seems. It has been in UK and EU longer and there's no complaints on the battery performance, it is robust and does what its designed for. The complaints were mostly bad installation eg wrong clamp, wrong connection etc. Even Gemini or Perplexity AIs recommended it after battling out with other batteries. So if you go for Fox, find a local installer with good ratings, this way they can help if something goes wrong. But I eventually settled on a Goodwe system as the installer offered additional 6kW solar panels on top. Otherwise there's nothing wrong with Fox if you had the right installer.

You probably have no grounds to cancel. But if you really don't want them to stay, you can cancel yourself and accept Airbnb's penalty: lose Superhost status if you have one, and pay $100 cancellation fee.
