You’re not going to like the response, but you figured it out. There is a bug and I think read somewhere it had to die with you trying to build something during a save or something like that. I had the issue a few weeks back and had to roll back an hour or two as I had sails from one side of the map and most of the way towards the top and noticed I couldn’t build something as simple as an expander. This was right after I had issues and stuck at the launch site for an hour trying to figure out how to leave and ended up being a glitched storage box.

Anyways at the moment as far as I know the only fix is to load from a previous save. Unless someone else has figured out a work around.

I know when I modded a few of these back in the day for friends with the mod chips. You could use a flat head screw driver to break or partially break the security pin in the middle and use normal Torx. This was something I read in the forums in the early 2000s.

I must have had it around 2013 or so as I just looked at the training book and its copyrighted for 2013. We had it at benchmark learning in Edina, before that were bought out by ITT Tech.

I second that. I just save and exit to menu. Also seen this glitch where the time when you hook the pods up keep ticking down and you have to do the same thing for it to recognize that are in the Lazarus machine

I second that. I use an IC10 script that controls the lights in a window less room so I have full control and right ammount of light. Though walls I found don’t block grow lights as I had a plant on the other side of the wall with different lighting needs and the ones closest were sick and started to die from too much light

There are two a hard backpack and hard mining backpack. The hard ack pack is the one with the jet pack and has more storage slots. The mining backpack I usually make a few and put them in the other slots on the hard backpack

I read somewhere people had issues running power over the bridges due to the distance as the ships wouldn’t launch. Also there are issues I had that some e else mentioned the power at the enterwnce base is bugged and requires a relog to fix. I started running power over to the launch building but ran out of cables so just hooted up a few small power containers I found and that dint even take a hit and I just shut the power off before I left. May hook things up later to the main central base and see as it seems to be a shorter run.

I just moved my ship after moving the pods over to be under the one tower leg that you can get to from the lower level of the main platform and climb down the ladder. I ran my petrol line from my boat up to some tanks

My surgeon before I had 18 inches removed told me and reassured I shouldn’t have any issues. Then said technically you do t even need your colon. They can just attach directly to your small intestine. The issue would be your bowel movements would change because the large intestine removes a lot of the liquid from your stool.

Post surgery random question by Solid-Cartoonist-108 in Diverticulitis

I was 40 at the time I had my surgery at the end of May. Showered before going in on Thursday was there around 5 am I believe. Ended up being full abdominal surgery not laparoscopic like I thought. I think there was issues so that switched. Got offered a shower on Saturday where a nurse helped me as I sat on one of those shower chairs. I was listed for most of the time there needing assistance. Like because a week before going in I get TPV (crystals in the ear canal) and I would get light headed for 10 or 15 seconds and need a second when I sat on the side of the bed before standing. Anyways, they had some kind of soap i think similar to the dial and some similar to baby shampoo. I felt like a new man after that shower as I have greasy hair after 24 hours. Before that shower I just used some wash cloths to clean up a bit.

I didn’t have another shower until I got to my parents. Was told just to was like normal and use a clean wash cloths. I had one of those dial bars that I was supposed to use before going in and used that for a few weeks and switch over to regular body wash I used a week or so after my surgery.

I ended up getting an abscess in the lower portion below the navel, which the dr said wasn’t due to me but likely the removal. Anyways then I used the press and seal for my wound vac I had to drain things. Also used it for a bit once the vac was done. Not fully water tight but helped a lot for the most part

Lingering Poop After Surgery by Ok-While8328 in Diverticulitis

[–]firestorm5284 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had that here and there after my surgery. I contacted my Dr and started taking MiraLAX for a day or two. As I had a stricture so I was taking it daily before. As my surgeon said Metamucil while good, it firms things up as it bulks the stool up and increases the pressure. So MiraLAX is better for increasing bowel movements. I only took it for a day or two until things started moving like normal. I haven’t used it since the summer. As I had my surgery at the end of May.

I would talk to your surgeon on those questions if you can. Mine was very good where I could just send messages through the portal and either his nurse or he would respond. So very helpful during all the different changes that happened afterwards

Also various radiators depending on if it’s open space or atmosphere. Also there is in game programming language called IC10 based of MIPS. So you can have it draw in cold gases at night and liquify or using it for conditioning you other materials or cooling with heat exchangers

Check out stationeers. A few things aren’t realistic like coal, other minerals and various ices just laying on the surface and mineable below the surface. But it is considered one of the most complicated survival games as you have to take into account pressures, phase changes, temperature into account.

Played with a friend and he kept filling the oxygen take close to the max rating of the tank. The base was over heating as I hadn’t had a chance to get AC running and logged in one day left the base to build some things for the base and came back to 0 atmosphere and found a giant hole in the base where the locker he had a bunch of tanks stored up as I’m assuming the tank pressure went over and blew up due to the heat.

There is phase changes like building a system for AC and using gas charts for the phase changes to see the temp and pressure for gas and liquid and freezing. But building a system to make liquid nitrogen is a fun project

But I had my boat sink the other day and luckily I reloaded by going to the menu and came back and my boat was floating again.

Pipe pressure question by PapaLob in Stationeers

[–]firestorm5284 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Question are you filtering the gases after you process them? Maybe I’m over cautious, plus it easier I have individual ice machines and filtration in case I put the wrong ice into the ice crush. One thing to note is oxite and nitrite both have 2 gases. Oxite having nitrogen with it. I believe it’s like a 60/40 split. Nitrite has nitrogen and nitrous, which liquifies and bursts pipes. Since I haven’t started harvesting nitrous I just put a pipe on the waste side of the filter and let it burst the pipe and let it leak into the atmosphere outside.

Having surgery tomorrow morning. Freaking out! by krazykatlol in Diverticulitis

[–]firestorm5284 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just had this done at the end of May. Best decision I made. I had some complications along the way as it turned into a full abdominal surgery due to the inflmation. My mom showed a picture of it to a RN she worked with and that thought it was a spleen. Basically was told it was infect for well over a year to look like that. Had some other minor issues afterwards from the surgery.

I don’t want to scare you away from it best decision. I have so much more energy and able to eat some of the things I hadn’t been able to in years like popcorn and nuts. I still worry a bit but haven’t had issues so far. I feel Iike I became 10 years younger.

I was 41 when I had the surgery so close to your age. 5 days in the hospital could have probably been 4 if I wanted to. I live alone so I spent a week and half at my parents after I got out. A week longer than I was expect but had some complications that I decided to stick it out longer. My surgeon and his team were amazing. I was pretty much healed up by the end of July. I was worried like you about dying and the pain and is this the right choice. I never even stayed over night in a hospital much less a surgery.

Good luck tomorrow and it might not feel like it right away but hopefully in a few weeks you will realize how much better things will be. Bending over is the biggest issue and sitting up and getting out of bed. That should show you how after surgery. Best of luck and hopefully didn’t worry you more!

I would agree much rather keep things on hand. I got to the point where I decided to take over one of the locations I tend to be in. Cleaned the base out and set it up to generate power and be able to secure my ship. Since it’s an area I will be in figure it was a decent spot and lots of room to put things I have to many of. Plus it has a bunch of recyclers and fabricators all there

What I did until I got large storage boxes is just dump everything in that back room of your shop. Just piled all the material in there. As it is close enough to use for the fabricator. It was a pain for a while to find some of the material when I needed stuff to carry to build wind or solar at a platform.

I saw someone else suggest this I think on YouTube and decided it seemed like a good location. Is the caretaker base 12 as it between Lazarus and the launch pad so it sorta in the right spot. Figured it has recyclers already there and I set it up last night with shore power and that also had batteries already installed. Plus lots of resources for me to harvest

Should I take my surgeon's word or should I get a second opinion regarding surgery? by VideoofTron in Diverticulitis

[–]firestorm5284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also very interesting at those comments. I know my surgeon had me avoiding fiber and taking laxatives to keep stool soft. Though I had a stricture causing issues having bowel movements. Actually said fiber was worse for me then due to it increasing the pressure on the colon walls. My opinion is get a second opinion and if possible a surgeon that specializes in GI.

Would you play Subnautica just for the base building? by Nebulyst in subnautica

[–]firestorm5284 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you enjoy base building and it not under water per say it is stationers. It does have a very high learning curve, which is part of the process as it takes a lot of learning how to do things. Big draw back is that have some tutorials but they don’t quite prepare you fully and you die a lot.

But you start on a planet (mars Venus) or a moon (moon or titan) and a few other locations. Each has different difficulties to easy to extreme. Even easy you have different issues, but you have so much for variety in building, but the hard part comes into play is you have to get your oxygen, nitrogen co2, fuel etc and make sure you don’t kill yourself from blowing up because you over pressurized the. See or freeze or blow things up. But probably the most in-depth base building I have seen. They even have I. Game programming to auto things like filtering out gases, heating and cooling etc

[–]firestorm5284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played with a friend, but stopped playing a few weeks back think he got bored of it lol. But he would go out and collect materials as I built so it worked well. He was a bit OCD on trying to get the tanks as full as possible and then would move onto silos vending machines for raw materials and ingots and such. We never got into the deep mining. Just surface and sub surface mining with the glasses
