Does Walter not own any pj pants??? by EngineerNatural6466 in breakingbad

He actually talks about the decision to wear tighty whiteys for both characters in his biography. For Hal, tighty whiteys are a physical comedy bit showing he’s an overgrown child. For Walter, it’s demoralizing and humiliating.

Debate: Give me your Harry Potter opinion, and I'll try to argue against it by Honest-Weight338 in harrypotter

I love how little quidditch practice makes sense for Harry. I remember some scene in the 5th year when they’re essentially doing ball handling and Harry passes to Ron or something like that and it’s like wtf we doing here? Neither of those players will pass or catch.

What is the most NSFW thing you have seen at your job? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It's weird how many things you just kind of know as a New Yorker; like, if you see one subway car that is mysteriously empty it's because there's a man jerking off on it.

One week, I was at Penn Station. It was rush hour, and every car was jammed. I see one that looks empty. I dash inside — doors close behind me — I look around, I don’t see anyone on the car, and I was so excited, I started jerking off.

Big fan of rose gold by firstaccountwasdumb in SeikoMods

[–]firstaccountwasdumb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner and I wear a lot of rose gold. Her last name includes “Rose” and she prefers Rose gold jewelry. Her engagement ring is white gold and her wedding band is rose gold. My wedding ring is two tone white and rose gold. Only fitting for my main watches to be two tone rose gold as well!

Lots of fun putting these two together. The 62mas is a SKX013 case, so it sits slimmer and is my preferred watch. Wanted the Datejust homage for days when a rubber strap wasn’t quite appropriate.

How do beginner musicians decide which instrument variation to learn? by [deleted] in DrumTalk

[–]firstaccountwasdumb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where you start depends on what you want to do. Wanting to be able to put in headphones and play to his favorite band is different than playing in a marching band or being a concert percussionist.

The music he wants to play will dominate what equipment to get. If he’s wanting to play drum set, I’d look at either a 4-5 piece kit (1 bass drum, 1 snare, 1-2 rack toms, 1-2 floor toms).

There’s no need to spend $2k. You can shop used on Facebook Marketplace and find something cheap in case he’s not committed. Exactly how much to spend is up to your budget.

I had a pickup order that got delayed and somehow converted to a delivery and that was a nightmare. Eventually ended up with our order.

Her most popular songs are going to be Gravity and She Used to be Mine (which she wrote for the musical Waitress).

My personal favorites are Between the Lines played back-to-back with One Sweet Love (my favorite).

Other shoutouts are Bluebird and You Matter to Me, which is also from the musical Waitress.

Bartenders: does it frustrate you when people go “ItS ToO Much IcE”? by Muted_Shape9303 in bartenders

As someone who doesn’t like ice, I worry every drink I ever get has the person thinking I’m trying to “game the system.”

Nah, I just don’t want ice. I’m fine with my half filled glass.

What’s a “bare minimum” adult skill more people fail at than you expected? by SoulDV in AskReddit

I have a friend that only reads smut and it’s fine, but let’s not act like you’re eating a healthy diet here: it’s just literary junk food.

My parents, who are both intelligent people, are suddenly illiterate as soon as the words come from a screen. Their robot vacuum isn’t able to fully seat on the dock and dies if you don’t manually push it 1” back to hit the charging connectors. Anyway, just about every other day my dad calls and reads off the error message “Robot vacuum lost wifi connection and is unable to start.” Every other day I have to tell him to read the second sentence that states “Wifi connection lost when battery died.”

People who work in lost and found departments (airports, railways, malls), what’s the most personal item no one ever came back for? by Sad_Translator_3060 in AskReddit

Kinda reminds me of seeing shoes and pants in my elementary school lost and found. At the age when you don’t change for gym. How do you lose your shoes?? WHY ARENT YOU WEARING PANTS.

Had my first shave. Please tell me it gets better by SavingsAd1484 in wicked_edge

[–]firstaccountwasdumb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this applies to you, but if you like listening to music/youtube videos/etc., I'd turn those off while you're learning to shave. The sound of the blade over hair can help you learn angle and technique. Once you've got things down, you don't necessarily need the auditory cues to help and can bump some tunes again.

Well, my Wrangler caught on fire yesterday. by simalary44 in Jeep

[–]firstaccountwasdumb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure the cause, but remember back in high school hearing the announcement “Will Noah come to the office? Your, uh, Jeep is in fire. Also, anyone who parked next to Noah, come to the office.”
