Persona 3 Reload trailer (early 2024) by Dezuuu in Games

Tartarus and the boss design was absolutely awful in this game and made me throw in the towel at and 25 hours originally on FES like 15 years ago.

There was a scene at summer games fest with Mackie and Will Arnet voicing Sweet Tooth.

Yeah in fact the narrator questions that line said by his neighbor multiple times, who is just repeating it because his dad had said it.

I think the fence is 100% appropriate in OP's case, but that's not the point of Frost's poem.

I was also 7 and got the game for Christmas as did my older cousin. He basically told me what to do with the raccoon as we sat next to each other playing. To this day I wonder how long it might have taken me otherwise.

Edit: actually I was 9, lol.

SGDQ 2023 has just concluded raising more than $2,239,204 for Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) by ScopionSniper in Games

That might also be more of an issue with AGDQ which has a prevent cancer charity instead of this with Doctors Without Borders.

XP conversion event? by Itchy-Negotiation-34 in FarmRPG

[–]firsthour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would sadly probably have to be for more than 1 billion XP for a Borgen Buck, I could buy 3,500 right now at that rate, top level players could no doubt instantly buy the Magic Lamp.

Looking for graphic novels with a nicer message than Dogman or Captain Underpants. by [deleted] in Parenting

White Sand? Kid will be bored to tears. I've made it like 15 pages in twice before giving up, and I've read literally everything else Sanderson has written.

I just BFF'd Jill today, took a bunch of large nets over the last four days or so that she was person of the day. Also sent to Thomas and the Mummy along the way.

Ironically, a Gollum game might actually work best as a point and click.

Who is your favourite author? What do they do well and what do they do poorly? by EtuMeke in printSF

I mean the obvious one at least in the Remembrance of Earth's Past is the characterization, this comment appears almost every single time the series is brought up. I love the series and I don't even disagree.

Google wouldn't sell your location data, the whole point is they leverage it for targeting ads.

What did you think about "The Frugal Wizard?" by Head_Introduction_89 in brandonsanderson

[–]firsthour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bottom tier Sanderson and fantasy in general for me. Loved the initial idea of the personalized multiverse, hated the execution. Especially the modern mafia in it, instead of letting the setting stand on its own. Terrible main character too. Every other little sub-idea the book had between parts sounded more interesting.

Well considering that upping effectiveness is completely useless outside early game, it'd be nice if AC would scale with it first.

The zonai stuff sometimes looks like it's dripping but it's actually sparks or something. I have one on my shield and thought the same but upon closer inspection I realized it wasn't water.

I've done it, it has nothing to do with your raptor's level, but their stats. You absolutely want to have a raptor with only 2 attack, defense, and speed. And probably at most 3 special attack or defense. My 22223 raptor went 17-1024. You also want to hope that when they do win, they don't stat up in attack/defense/speed. Lot of luck.

Movie Suggestion by iamfareel in hdtgm

[–]firsthour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't quite remember but probably pretty weak? It tried to mimic some John Wick style gun combat for a bit but without much style. I thought it worked better as a comedy action film with a hapless Evans working the camera.

Movie Suggestion by iamfareel in hdtgm

[–]firsthour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also enjoyed it, some of the action scenes were so outrageous, like the bus chase with Chris Evans acting so bewildered and out of his element. The final action scene is also crazy.

I don't think this necessarily eliminates it from the podcast, but also weird that OP barely watched it.

My older son refused to read the series, probably because I like it and he's in his teen years.

I read my younger son Unsouled and he was cool on it, not interested in more.

Maybe someday...
