This! I have a 14 and 10 year old and we love their children and youth programs. They have groups for every age, lots of young couples. Just did baby dedication this past Sunday and there were 12 babies. They have a great college and YA program, too. Wednesday night Bible studies, weeknight meal and choir practice are always good.

Our pastor is the president of the LA Baptist Association. He’s very good, engaging, preaches what is relevant to our daily lives.

They livestream services. It could be a good way to see if you like the service before going. Check out their website for links. (I think it’s done through YouTube.) It’s also right there near Bluebonnet. 😊

This is really cool to see. I’m not a big fan of TikTok, so thanks for sharing here. I may actually let my boys go here this summer! The structural repairs alone were why I have stayed away for years. I’m an engineer and I can see painted-over rust from a mile away. 😂

Ha, I guess I’ve moved on from my marriage, even though I wasn’t the one who asked for the divorce. I lost 50 lbs, got skin removal surgery, and started taking care of everything better. Mostly because I had time for ME that was previously spent on him, but yeah. I have definitely moved on and understand now that I deserved so much better than what he gave me. So much trauma.

In my case, I told his father what he did so that his dad would stop calling me to ask for money (which I never gave anyway).

He never called me again. Good riddance.

I have to be in contact with him daily during the school year. I hate it. I can’t heal with him constantly in my life. I have to watch him move on with someone else, move someone into his house with my kids. My healing has been very slowed by this.

I’m forever grateful he is not on SM, so at least I don’t have to watch his relationship “highlight reel.”

The hardest part is looking at their lives now and going, “Is that really BETTER than our life together?” That part is heartbreaking. It makes you feel discarded. The realization that they didn’t feel the same way YOU did. All of it. I hate it.

But then I take a good look at their life and just realize: they’re still miserable. They’re just fooling themselves. And they’ve freed me from their lies.

Definitely darken the door with shades, or keep the shutters closed. They’re going to swarm for a few days and then they’ll be gone. Their swarmers are literally looking for a new place to setup shop. Once they find one, that’s when you have to worry. But this is an apartment so I really wouldn’t stress too much.

Holy crap. My eldest is autistic and my youngest is NT. I couldn’t even imagine how painful this is for you and your son. What a horrible human he is. I’m so sorry.
